so according to Ortiz he's blaming it on careless use of over the counter supplements, but he denies ever taking steroids or even being aware that he'd tested positive until this past Thursday.

MLB Players' Union chief now speaking to defend Ortiz... how disgustingly biased can it get? i'm pretty sure Arod pays the same dues to the union that Ortiz does.

so apparently the Players Union is backing Papi saying he's not even aware of what the test results said he tested positive for... how then did ARod know exactly what he tested positive for when his results were leaked?

I agree with all here. I haven't paid attention to this press conference stuff, but if it's true, it's disgusting.

It's simple as this. David Ortiz is looked upon as a nice person with a sweet personality who comes up big in games. The MLB AND the union is going to do everything in their power to defend that. Yet A-Rod and Barry Bonds (Who I've criticized plenty. Both of them) get their arses handed to them for doing the same stuff, b/c their personalities are in question and/or one is on the Yankees.

Completely bushleague if you ask me.
