the title is self explanatory and its in reaction to the death of Guru. I'm going to use this thread to post up some joints that all my hip hop heads around here need in their lives.
Primarily I'm going to focus on older cuts, but I'll hit you off with some newer shyt that demands your attention. But I'm an archlogist when it comes to this hip hop stuff so I like to dig.
If you havent already, I suggest downloading this to convert youtube videos to MP3s. Fast and easy.:
hot thread idea. evil approved. i know the last two tracks, but i gotta peep the rest. speaks on the laptop ain't workin so i'll need to find a moment to hook this ish to the stereo. you familiar with phonte's work with LB? last CD dropped and i heard it's a winner.

Yeah, Little brother. Thats the best duo of the last decade and top 5 of all time. Good call. Damn shame whats happened to them --- with 9th bouncing and the group as a whole falling apart. Yeah, I've heard a couple of those curtain call tracks and its the usual quality I've come to expect.

i got tix for the fairwell show in nyc. def blown away by the amount of people who don't know little bro. and it truly is a shame that such top notch quality hip hop gets cast aside while other garbage is thrivin. phonte's other project foreign exchange is pretty hot too.

Yeah. I hear you. It is what it is with the quality of hip hop nowadays. Those tickets are gunna be a good look. You gotta give us a recap, cause I'm sure they are trying to go out with a bang.
