We lacked a MSL all these years in the playoffs. Someone to carry the team and take pressure of the King. Wish we had kept Jagr as he clearly had plenty left in the tank

Rangers have a lot of young talent in the pipeline. They need to win now

SupremeCommander @ 3/5/2014 2:16 PM
St Louis is a better talent. I worry about the intangibles we lose. Vigneault said he wouldn't want another captain in the league than Cally. When Stepan was told by the media that Cally was traded he had to leave the room full of reporters to gain his composure. Cally means a ton to the team and that second roudner can become a first if Tampa resigns him.

I don't believe that the Rangers are a legit cup contender. Lundqvist is not up to his usual standards. Nash and Richards need to up their games. They are good but they are tied for 7th in the conference and have only scored five more goals than they've given up. Cup contenders?

I keep waiting for Talbot to come back down to earth then he dominates the Blackhawks. I gotta admit I'm worried about lundquivst this year. Having to great goalies is a heck of a luxury but the better one needs to play in the playoffs

It takes time with new Coach and Captain.
But looks like the team came together at right time.

certainly did come together at the right time. Thankfully Ryan McDonagh is playing like Brian Leetch and the King is playing like, well, the King.

Chris Kreider is a fucking stud
Hector @ 5/25/2014 9:47 PM

Hector @ 5/25/2014 11:20 PM
This is why we got St Louis!!!!

I couldn't imagine this run with Callahan on the team instead of Martin St. Louis!!!!

Exactly! Now we have guys who can actually put the ball in the net in the playoffs so lundquivst doesn't need to stand on his head

Nalod @ 5/26/2014 10:15 AM
Phil Jax was in audience!

The force was strong last nite!

Hector @ 5/26/2014 3:21 PM
The shot Brassard took when he scored was a rocket like no other - if it hit the goalie, it would have went through him!

He took a slapshot from like 7 feet away - amazing!

SupremeCommander @ 5/27/2014 10:20 AM
hopefully they can lock it down tonight so Stepan, Brassard, Miller and anyone else that is injured can heal up
Hector @ 5/27/2014 7:56 PM
Almost gametime.

I hope it is epic for all the right reasons.

Hector @ 5/27/2014 8:53 PM
Have to hand it to Montreal, Rangers are on tonight, but Les Habs are a notch higher & you'd expect that.

Gonna be tough to take it tonight although those fuckers won't beat us 3 straight!!!!!

Right?

BRIGGS @ 6/5/2014 12:09 AM
That 3rd period was scary bad and it followed into OT. The Rangers blew opportunities in front of the net in the 2nd period and then were outclassed in the 3rd. The only good thing is I did not have to stay up until 3 am to see the Kings score in the 4th OT. Rangers not built to give up 2 goal leads--bad game maybe outclassed by a much more skilled team.
SupremeCommander @ 6/5/2014 9:24 AM
third was terrible. the LA boards do play slow and the ice didn't appear to be the highest quality. The Kings finally slowed the Rangers down and just hammered them.
SupremeCommander @ 6/9/2014 10:35 PM
Well thus fucking sucks

I don't exactly know why, but this made me laugh.
Yeah, I don't get hockey. Or care to.

Has Phil been spotted at any of the Finals games?

he's been at the games at MSG

When the ice isn't cold enough or smooth enough, the puck will tumble or get on edge and it leads to some sloppy hockey. The Kings are the bigger stronger team and sloppy ice negates the Rangers biggest asset - speed
