I wouldn't really debate that, unless you provide a player(s) in his replacement.
And I'm not quite sure that your statement effectively negates my contention that the Knicks may be higher seeded had Anthony played better, earlier.

There are Knicks fans that are embarrased to finish 7 or 8. Had Anthony applied himself earlier, perhaps the sight would be set on 3 or 4.
Without Anthony, the Knicks don't make the playoffs...

They don't make the playoffs. Not with the 18-24 coaching, no.
After an injury to Stoudemire, Anthony proceedingly flourished at the 4.
With regard to player placement, would D'Antoni have done things differently had that situation presented itself to him?

D'Antoni would not put Melo in the low post. He would stick to the speedball offense with Jeremy Lin as his centerpiece.

First off, last night's win lifted the Knicks to a 15-5 record with Mike Woodson, a stunning little statistic, particularly when you consider that they were 18-24 under Mike D'Antoni. (And that included the Linsanity run.) That means that if the Knicks can win three of their last four games, Woodson would have as many wins this season as D'Antoni, in eighteen fewer games.
MDA's Playbook Is A Pamphlet
Mike Woodson's playbook is no book at all. It is a pragmatic approach to putting young men in the best position to suceed. It is the culmination of Bobby Knight, Red Holzman, Larry Brown and all his bright moments, bumps and bruises along the way.
Red sums up the so-called "playbook" up best.
"On offense you do what you want. On defense, you do what I want."
15-5. baby.
+1
Dude the entire playbook..there was 100s of times they would miss tyson off they double screen..tyson as they first screener cutting to they basket while everyones focus on they ball handler...I mean they first 7 wks that's play was there..Td never even looked tyson way...and lin was turning it over more then he could execute the play..

Well it's the coach's JOB to realize his PG doesn't see that play or run that play well and adjust to something that's simpler that he can run effectively. Any blind person could see TD had no vision.
Woodson and his team were able to overcome the horrible 18-24 start and prevent HOuston from getting a lottery pick from the McGrady trade.
Debating MDA's so-called playbook is a game for the backward-looking.
Mike Woodson will continue to make coaching adjustments over the next four games to prepare his new rotation for the playoffs.
The Novakaine Shiftline gains a decent passer in Landry Fields, who will add some inside drives to the three point shooting of JR Smith.
Minimally, Baron Davis and Mike Bibby will need to contribute 15 productive minutes a night.
Beat Atlanta on Sunday.

Anthony only averaged 15pts per game on under 40% shooting for the first 7 games under Woodson. Yet we still were 6-1 during that stretch. Was he trying to sabotage Woodson too?
If MDA coached like Woodson then perhaps the sight would be set on the 1-3 seed.

If Amare does't step up his defense and board work were TOAST, no matter who's coaching or who were playing..
That 6-1 strecth was the bench coming in and dominating, even davis was looking solid, minus the the few stupid To's..amare was actually the only one in the starting line up playing well on both ends
16-6 and no back to back losses? ARE YOU FREAKIN KIDDING ME?
Woody going to do what ever Melo wants him to do. He's not dumb, he saw what happen to MDA! LOL

Yes they would've. Maybe not a championship, but they would've made the playoffs.

I can't believe it's the same season Melo was being passed up on looks in the offense...And coach was cool with that...

He probably wanted to make sure that he liked woody as a coach before he decided not to dog it further.

Or he was hurt.
Geeee, I never thought of that or even considered it a viable scenario.
I hate myself for being so dumb and close-minded.
Woodson is making mda look bad btw.
