I appreciate what he did during the regular season. Truly impressive.
And he had a lot to deal with this series- injuries and all.
And Miami simply outclassed us talent wise.
But they just ripped us apart every game, like the knicks had no idea how to do basic things like play defense.
Phil Jackson for 2 years- that is the window with this squad- and I would offer him $10M+ per year.
Woodson can be option C.
How many coaches is that now who couldn't win with our supremely talented roster?
did i miss a report that said Phil Jackson wnats to return. Look if he does thats great but he seems like he is retired for good. If he is retied then Woodson would do well in a full season when we are healthy
Though he was a huge upgrade, I would like another huge upgrade
How is Jackson going to change anything?
- Is he going to heal Amare's back
- Is he going to give Chandler or Amare a post game?
- Is he going to make Fields good?
- Is he going to make Bibby young?
Pretty sure Jackson will be a waste of money like D'Antoni with this current team.

One word:
TRIANGLE
I dont think phil jackson is going to want to return at his age with health problems and a knicks team that is not a lock to make it the finals over lebron, wade & the miami heat. Rest assure that Miami will get Nash & Grant Hill next year too.
What was so funny was during the Game thread everyone was complaining about him sticking with JR and then Fields come in with horrible play after horrible play. Fields did make some other good plays late but the dude needs work.
Gut the roster and 100 games later the roster was still too thin to do anything.
On to the future.
So really, If Jax don't want in, you think another coach can do better?
Like who and why?
In all reality, I understand why PJax would not want to work with our roster. The pieces don't have the upside.
Install a system who emphasizes ball movement? StarMelo rejected that.
Knicks will be good. Not great.
We got a star right? I thought nobody really cares about winning?

Let him turn the Knicks down and then the next step can be taken. But let him turn the Knicks down.
If Phil Jackson wants the job you'd have to be crazy not to give it to him. but osme would say that Phil would have to be crazy to accept this job. If Phil is off the market, I dont mind Woodson coming back.

Jackson is either going to get some of these softies (Melo) mentally tough or prove they aren't championship caliber.
Why does it sound like they did not approach him and for the most part already offered it to Woody?

I agree with you.

Phil's girl friend is quoted as saying he doesn't care about money. But, you throw $20M at him for 2 years of work, I'm sure he'll suddenly care about money.
That scratch buys a lot of wd40 for his hip & knees!
Amazing when was the last time a Knicks coach had a stretch of 18-6 against tough teams oh wait JVG
