Howard was 6-7 from the field and was a beast on the boards. He needs more touches though I am not sure if thats part of MDA's plan or just kobe being kobe. Very strange.

Lawson was really good and made Nash look really old on defense.

In transition it was sad to watch actually, but Nash's burden certainly isn't lessened by the schemes Lakers run. Kobe and D'AnToni most certainly are failing the team.

D'AnToni might want to start playing some of the younger players like E-Banks and Clark just to switch things up a bit.

I think that MDA needs to slow the game down and play more half court. He is not finding howard shots or going to him in the post.

MDA and Kobe are certainly failing the team. MVP? Hah! Its a joke.

I wonder what kind of moves are coming down

Feast or Famine with his shooting and Stu Lantz(Lakers color guy) said it's a growing concern within the Denver organization. Karl should bring him off the bench to light a fire because obviously it's not sinking in with him. There isn't one thing Gallo does consistently well on a nightly basis.

Exactly thats why I laughed yesterday when someone said Denver and their 8th place record is a team you don't want to play in the playoffs. Hilarious since there are so many better teams in the west. 4-5 Elite, championship contending teams!

guns like it or not, denver is going to be a factor in the west. Meaning none of the top seeds wants to see this team.... despite what may be said about gallo(and he pretty much bailed them out last night as well) and we hear grumblings about lots of players, from lots of analyst, not sure what that mean here, but.. denver is in good shape with a lot of home games on the horizon, they are nothing to laugh at....

Again, this is not a team that has to win this year or the next, they are set up well for a long run, plus they have our picks to continue improving that team... and I would say this, they are seperated from the 4th spot by 3.5 games... memphis holds that spot.. they beat memphis twice already..

Nalod @ 1/7/2013 2:06 PM
Its about the last 20 games of the season and how healthy those teams are at the end of the season.

Our 18-6 run last year wore our out mentally but we needed to do that to even make it in the playoffs.

Philly limps in and catchs a break with Rose's injury.

We catch a Miami team that was healthy and on a mission.

if the switch in gallo can get flipped, he is an all star player but not with his fluctuations.

Denver has "Potential".

I know trade lovers really root for Denver and Gallo to faulter but this is about other issues with them. Javale also needs to get consistant.

Knicks are taking care of their own business so the issue is moot.

I'd love to see the knicks vs the lakers or nuggs in the finals!

Great theatre it would be!

Its hard to say that "he bailed them out" if the only reason they did not win by 20 was because of how brutally awful he played.

However, it is fair to say that "he bailed himself out"

Have to admit I didn't think Harden would be lighting it up like this but his real test will come if Houston makes the playoffs. I don't know where they are in the standings.

Watched the Lakers game last night, they look like they're starting to click even though they lost.

6th in the West 3gms back from a 4th seed. Since the Clippers are smacking the hell out of the Warriors the Rockets will be 2 1/1 gms back of the 4th seed after tonight

Impressive considering how fast this team was thrown together.

The scary thing, they can only get better, they haven't even come close to reaching their potential. They are young and have a bright future.

LIN, Harden,Asik, and Parsons is a nice young core to work with.. if they get their hands on a stud PF....jeez!!

you're from atlanta, would you want Josh Smith?

HE WOULDN'T BE MY first choice, but I was never a huge smith fan, I have the same problem with him as I do carmelo but to a lesser extent, josh does defend... I remember watching him in AAU games my friend used to ref, this guy was a whiner... not a fan of that, but he does possess a lot of skill and has a unique all around game... he might not be a bad fit for the rockets although he might not be my first choice....

Thats why I find your stances at times a bit off balance (no offense). You seem to require efficiency from some players but ignore awful efficiency from others.

Josh Smith is as inefficient as it gets at that position. He does play defense and is a good shot blocker. A TS of .476 at that position is putrid.

I AM very consistent... I love efficiency but josh smith won't be on my team for scoring.. if I have a guy who does nothing but score like carmelo then I at least want him to be efficient... and josh smith is not that bad offensively he is a career 46% shooter, and truth be told he is a pretty good passer and he can run offense..... but what he does is defend and block shots, he is one of those guys that can give you a 10 block 10 assist game.. that is unique man... as I said clearly he is not my ideal or first choice...

I'd be fine with that if he had a Ben Wallace role on offense but if he's inefficient AND taking sixteen shots a game, that does a lot damage.

come on man, he shooting near 47% from the field.. how inefficient is that? 16 shots for a player like him is not bad... considering he will get offensive boards and go back up with it...

He wouldn't be taking 16-17/gm in Houston, it has more to do with his responsibility this year in ATL because of roster changes. His career under Mike Woodson he didn't shoot as much and the roster was different. Houston doesn't need his scoring and no Josh Smith would not be able to go to the Rockets and do whatever he wanted to do under McHale and Samson.

He was the awful player on the court. He was the one that the announcer were making fun of all game that when he is off, he just does not stop shooting. He was drunk with his dribble.

Its ok to chastise one of the kids if they are stinking it up.

Lawson was a beast. Faried was quiet stat wise but he was everywhere and pissing off the lakers again and again.

Lawson bailed out the Gallo though. Lawson was phenomenal. Even many of the noted gallo apologists on this board realize that there is reason to be alarmed. And, that there is talk in Denver of perhaps having him come off the bench.

Looking for Rockets to run the Lakers off the gym.

i watch every denver game and never heard anything about him or the bench.. but hey check out the denver forums even on realgm, they had a vote for team mvp so far.. guess who got the most votes?

Yep..

go figure..

but anyway denver is not just about gallo , if they don't do well he won't be the only reason why... that is for sure..
