This summer Novak needs to work driving to the basket and shooting of the dribble. Maybe he should take a look at some film on some great 3 point shooter who find a way to get free Like Reggie Miller.

Novak's defense is below average but his net production (strength on offense minus weaknesses on defense) is still excellent.
Are we looking at this years stats? How is Tyson not considered more efficient? And, Novak scored 2 baskets or less in 40 out of the 81 games he played. I'm willing to bet his defense hurt us more than he comtributed in at least those games.
I like Novak and his willingness to get better in other areas of his game. But, as of now, he's not capable in the playoffs.

I was talking about this year but not counting Tyson since he doesn't seem right - at least not yet. If a guy has a short leash and lots of games where he plays only about 10 min, of course he's going to have several games of only 2 baskets or less.

Novak had a very good Game 3. We need him to have a similar Game 4

Yep, we've got no scoring off the bench without JR. Either Cope needs to get over his playoff rookie nerves, or Novak needs to nail those three's like it was the 2011-2012 regular season!
Can't be too much pressure on his shot in a close game, or we need to have a comfortable lead in a game for him to concentrate. Or if we are down by a lot of points and the defense slacks off.
Steve Novak is a situational 3 pt specialist.
We can't score points. You'd think Novak would be able to get more than a couple of minutes.

Did you see Novak at 6'9" fouling Terry who is 6' 2" under the basket fighting for a rebound, in a big spot in the game...

I thought he did? I remember hearing him say he worked on that during the summer.

Wow. Analyzing a player based not on one game (which would be bad enough already) but on one possession? I don't express anywhere near the hate or negativity towards any Knicks that you do. Maybe you should rethink your labeling or stop labeling posters here altogether. I'd vote for the latter but the former could still be an improvement.
why isn't novak being asked to use a head and ball fake? without that he is predictable and his ability to shoot free throws is being squandered. you'd think he'd have some value at the end of games shooting free throws. make him earn that paycheck by injecting a little changeup into his arsenal.
you just have to run him through some off the ball screens and let him drop the long ball,

The team does great with him on the floor and our offense is struggling. It would seem like a no-brainer.
A couple of times this season, not very many, Novak has shown that he can pump fake, move in and drain a 2. If he never tries another layup again I wouldn't care if Novak did that more often.
