Well, it's not as if Tyson doesn't have injury concerns of his own. He's been dealing with a bulging disc in his neck for awhile now and hasn't looked good at all for weeks.

Can't believe it's a question. Chandler is an above average defensive player and a below average defensive player. Howard is the most dominant center in the league..on a an off year.

I probably dislike MDA more than you. But if we are crowning Dwight Howard the king of all centers. The best big man to play in the NBA in this era, then I don't care if the Lakers were coached by bugs bunny.
Put any great NBA player / center on that team and you would have a different outcome.
What everybody doesn't understand about players like Chandler, is that he understands his limitations, understands his role, and plays his role to the best. By the way, he has leadership qualities that makes other players follow. Dwight is not there yet. So I can't crown him with anything, other than potential. Of course he's a physical beast, but thats only part of the equation that makes a player great. I'm still waiting for the other part(s)....

I agree but he isn't the same beast he was. Once you have shoulder issues it changes what exercises you can do and alters your workout. JVG was talking about Patrick when he had achilles issues before it finally ruptured. He said Patrick couldn't do the conditioning work like he did before and gained weight which compounded his achilles issues. Dwight is younger and maybe surgery corrects things for him and he can continue to be a workout warrior but he definitely is a risk for declining. Similar to Amare, his game is based on dominant strength and athleticism. He doesn't appear to be the most cerebral guy and recently he has brought a lot of drama to the teams he has played on.
this is a no brainer - Chandler. The Heat won a championship without a true center. Chandler can guard every position on the floor. At his best he is a great defender of every position on the court. Plus, Howard is a little whiny spoiled child
howard because he is a top player, chandler is nice and all but howard is on a different level, he can dominate a game like shaq daddy

Um, what? Who is Hakeem and what are you talking about?
Besides free throw % Dwight was better in just about every category. He was at the top of the league in most categories. Tyson was right up there with Dwight on technicals. He's slacked off a bit this year in some games but geez so has Tyson. Dwight's a better shot blocker and its not even close offensively. All Tyson really has is the alley oop and that's not a go-to play. Tyson is a better locker room prescense but he's not a coach on the floor by any means. Besides the drama that DH brings, this isn't much of a debate.
He led his team to the finals, whereas Chandler was 2nd or 3rd bananna on his championship team. He an enormous crybaby, but he's been a defensive beast throughout his career and he commands a triple team in the post.

When Chandler switches onto a guard its always a layup. Not a knock on him as what center can keep up, but the statement isn't true.
