Here's one statistical model. You can see the model has a pretty good history with only occasional misses.
To be honest--that model looks pretty good. I think thats a fair mock draft and hes only taking the advanced stats in evaluation. For example--lets take Mike Muscala--small school playing post 5. Now we know he really is a mobile 4(body weight/height actually are nice for that position). In the combine he was the best shooter period I think he hit 80% of his shots and thats at 6-11 230 his athletic numbers are good good wingspan great shot good rebounder yet hes projected as low as late 40's as a C yes as a PF higher. But advanced stats PER say otherwise backed up by combine shooting athletic testing etc...

very interesting... sometimes you see these models and don't agree with the results. I agree overall - but I don't like the results for McLemore. Short of that I think that model is pretty awesome.
What I find really interesting is Trey Burke because he's the player that seems to have that special, hard to define characteristic... the Tournament really showed he has the best chance to be special

This model is a great tool and I think its highly accurate. If you take a hard look at it--it makes a ton of sense--now this is without the eye test--but even adding that in you basically similar mocks to what the other boards say sans a few guys

6'3 guard Erick Greene from Virginia Tech deserves consideration. The operative word is smart.
An extremely quick and crafty player that pushes the ball in transition attacking the rim, which is when he is at his best
A tremendous 1 on 1 player with a bevy of moves at his disposal ... Is comfortable spotting up or shooting off the dribble with solid shooting form. Shows good movement without the ball and uses screens efficiently. Has improved as a passer in his 4 year career, averaging almost 4 his senior year on a solid assist to turnover ratio. Is especially good at finding the open man off of the pick and roll.
You heard it here first
All the guys covering the combine raved about Eric Green --- Jay Williams inparticular loved him --- Fraschilla also had high praise.
Can we get Plumlee? Or will he go earlier?
Papabear Says
Not Glen Rice Jr. We need to get a big man who can defend and score under the basket around the basket and beside the basket. Take some pressure off Melo before he breaks down.

Injuries? Any Metric for Nerlens Noel knee
According to this this draft is awful which I believe is true. Its to bad we have are pick this year and not next. Find it interesting that only 4 players have a better then 50% chance of being a starter

Yeah, that's what I've been hearing/reading since last year's draft. Like, as bad as the draft from 2000 which was really, really bad: http://www.basketball-reference.com/draf....

I think he's more than the name...This isn't some Mychel Thompson or Seth Curry (and those guys aren't terrible to be fair) --- the kid's good. To go from a decent prospect in college at best to the DL where he blew up and played great on both ends, winning the DL championship (where he was a huge part of it) -- it says a lot. It showed real progression...I think his whole DL run has really intrigued people. It intrigued me. His life could've really went in the toilet after the college dismissal, but it didn't. He turned a negative into a huge positive in such a short amount of time...And it's not like the off-the-court stuff was that bad -- he really didn't do anything except show some poor judgment but the actually perps were his friends. His friend drove the car drunk; his other friend brought the pistol to the club and threatened someone with it, etc...As a GM, you can get past that. Wrong crowd, wrong places at the wrong time. Not a big deal -- just like Brandon Davies having sex with a girl on BYU campus a few years back wasn't a big deal...People do far worse things man. I don't see any of these things as real strikes against these guys at all...I like a handful of players a little more but we can do far worse than this kid at 24. Again, especially if JR Smith winds up departing. Shump/Rice Jr. manning the 2G spot next year wouldn't be bad at all. Rice could also see some mins. behind Melo or whoever else at the 3 and could play alongside these guys too. He makes a lot of sense for us.

I suppose the silver lining is that even though that draft blew, a good portion of the first round included guys that became solid role players irregardless of their pricetag thanks to the draft. Hopefully this draft follows the same trend because there were some solid value picks around our position e.g. Morris Peterson.
Dont know if it was mentioned but Ricky Ledo pulled out of the NJ workouts last week.
This draft is so sad and pathetic that teams are already guaranteeing guys if they pull out of workouts.

Ledo is not that good, might not even get drafted in this weak draft.

Uh huh. I'll save this post for after the draft.

if he went first round that gm should be fired, and there are plenty of shooters who dont defende that dont get drafted.
if he does get drafted it's only because the class is weak.

I was joking. Rautins turns 27 before the start of next season. He was a bit long in the tooth for a second round pick (24).

Same thing happens every year.
The quality of SG's in the NBA is a joke.
Ledo can shoot and handle the ball very well. If he had played for providence he'd be a lottery pick.
Guys fall EVERY YEAR for various reasons.
