Is he even a good defender anymore? MAYBE he can increase his 3PT accuracy here and play the role that Brewer played the first month last years. But will it turn out like Brewer or can he still play/defend?

"If the Lakers do amnesty him, he might want to retire," Morales said. "If one of these small-market teams picks him up, he won't be happy with that. He doesn't want to play there."

Morales said World Peace would be open to playing for the Clippers, but if he can't stay in Los Angeles, he would want to play only in New York, his hometown.

"If the Lakers amnesty him, he's going to have a point to prove that he can still be that player in New York," Morales said.

If we somehow are able to sign him there will be a 15 page thread talking about how much he sucks.

KMart and Artest would add a nice bump and thump to the front court.

There's some risk but I'd take the chance. I don't care what he's done in the past -- he's a little older now. People mature..I want a championship in the worst way and this guy puts us a step closer.. Always underrated offensively and his defensive skills are still first rate. This guy could really help us. Gives us a lot of flexibility. Plus, he wants to be here. Go ask Melo, LeBron, Durant, Pierce, Granger, George, etc. if they enjoy playing against this guy...

he's still solid, and his #s indicate that..Obviously he's not the defender he once was, but he's way better then brewer

He'll be a Knick if he clears waivers. No doubt in my mind.

I hope that he does clear waivers.. but doubtful smh. Knicks could really use him.
EnySpree @ 7/11/2013 8:20 PM
I'm salivating at the possibility of getting this dude...

Thing is I would want him off the bench the same way Kirilenko is going to do off the bench in Brooklyn. #knickstape

Well, if Metta does become a Knick, Shump can go back to playing the 2, which is great news. I will be PO'd if he doesn't.

To bad it isnt 2003. Could u imagine those 2 playing next to each other.I bet a team puts in a bid just to f with us. They know he doesnt want to play anywhere but the Clippers or knicks
