When a guy like Josh Powell block shots, it gets your team in the transition game.

Never even got in the game. DNP - coach's decision. Looks like he's only gotten into 1 of the 4 games we've played so far. Joke...Doesn't even look like he's been a big part of the practices, the few clips I've seen (saw the entire 'training camp - live' special the other day and he wasn't a big part of that scrimmage at all which surprised me---it was a starters vs. backups type of scrimmage where Woody coached the starters and Jimmy Todd had the reserves. You figured if Woody has a problem with him, Todd would've given him a better chance to showcase. He played, but he wasn't a factor at all, similar to the other night in the game Boston mauled us). You don't even hear anyone talking about him...Ridiculous, man -- unless he's been doggin' it in practice or he mouthed off to Woody or something... I doubt that seriously. Dude's trying to make this team, trying to get back in the show...It's a shame he's not being given a chance to compete for a spot. I like the kid Murry--I see exactly what everyone else sees. 6'5", good handle, poised, good defender. He looks decent for an unknown. I get that..He's not CDR though. Give CDR the same amount of time next game - I betcha he'd drop 20, even if he only got 15 mins. The man's that good a scorer...Woody took James White last year -- CDR has more talent in his left pinky than White has in his entire body. I know this guy, man. LOVED him in college (one of my favorite college players ever) and I actually thought he was good with the Nets & Milwaukee. I agree though -- I think Murry's in. Done deal..You can tell. Woody giving him extended minutes, affectionately tappin' him on the head last night as he came toward the bench in a timeout, etc... Here's my Murry vs. CDR take -- I don't think we will ever need Murry to play PG here. That leaves a 2G comparison between CDR and Murry. Nothing against Murry, but I'm taking CDR here. At 6'7" dude could play some 3 too... He's a legit offensive NBA wing. Murry's not. Not yet. Can he get there? I dunno. Maybe, maybe not. I don't think Murry's ever gonna be a guy a team can count on to go out there and drop 20+ consistently against anyone. That's CDR's game...And at 26 years old, CDR's still young enough where he would be a welcome addition now AND a piece we could keep if and when we ever had to turn over the roster.. Woody sees this different though I guess.
The last time Melo advocated for a guard like he has Murry, Linsanity happened.

If he is that good how come no one else wants him? Why was he droped from other teams?

Josh Powell has blocked a total of 65 shots in over 320 games so please stop making him out to be Hakeem LOL. Ike Diogu per 36 minute numbers--Id like anyone to go see what they are. He may be a case of a player who just was on the wrong team and never got his chance at extended minutes from there. His 36 avg is a player who avg 20-10. Since Amare is a ??? dont you think it makes sense to keep the superior offensive player who also is a much better rebounder? Diogu could be a very important steal for the Knicks.

Have no idea. To me, it's one of the biggest mysteries going...First off, he, like a lot of other worthy guys out there, falls victim to the numbers game..Only a certain amount of spots available per team every year..Then after that who knows -- maybe it's a bad attitude, bad body language during practices.. I have trouble see that though. Not from a guy that's trying to get back in the league (where he belongs btw -- this man's too good for Europe, the NBDL, etc. Has more than enough talent to be in the NBA). This guy isn't Justin Brownlee -- he's a MAJOR step up from that, even from James White. I wish he was given proper consideration for a spot as soon as he was brought in. I feel like he's being passed right over, and I think that's a mistake. I said Ike Diogu had game and deserved a chance; that if and when he got his chance he'd produce. And look what happened...Same deal here with CDR. GAURANTEED. If CDR's given a chance, he'll capitalize and show his worth. Then you'll have everyone on here saying he's a keeper...LOL.
Always liked what i've seen from CDR. I think it's just a bad situation. Perhaps the Knicks will keep him in mind during the season if they have an injury. Also there are lots of other teams that might just bring him in with a good report from the Knicks. It's just a strange situation. I can't imagine that the Knicks don't know he's very good already. Woody never talks about him and yet he's been brought in and is practicing. I can't imagine he's not doing well in scrimmages. ??????????????

Ike Diogo played 69 games in his rookie season at GS, since then he played 2 games in San Antonio in 2011-12 season. We don't need him for offense we already have too many gunslingers.
We need guys who love playing defense. Come on man Powell can shoot from the outside better too career 35 % from 3pt range.
Ike Diogo 689 career rebs
Josh Powell 927 career rebs 331 offensive
Diogo isn't Reggie Evans, he isn't necessary.
The difference between Powell and Ike are pretty evident. Both have qualities we need. Powell blacks shots and has size. Ike has inside scoring and rebounding. Both players have decent mid range shots. People who think we need more rebounding will pick Ike and people who think we need more Size and blacks will pick Powell.

I think we need more blacks so I go with Powell
Give me the the rugged rebounder every time over the guy who will ocassionally block a shot or two a game
If KMart can't go it seems like they might have to keep Aldridge or sign someone that is waived out of camp. Tyson needs a back up. I don't think it is safe to count on Martin or Amare. Maybe you give Bargs minutes there but the Knicks still need an actual center.

I'm good w keeping diogu. We have 2 7ft and Tyler will make 3. Aldrich has had every chance to make. The team. And he hasn't been able to break through. I refer to keep what we have right now
Glad to hear that Murry had another good game. Got around to getting league pass, missed the last few games on TV.

Haha, if it's not a typo it doesn't make sense because Diogu and Powell are both black.
