There is no doubt in my mind that Jasen Kidd was speaking to people on the Nets while still a Knick. He should have been focused in the playoffs. Jason looked so bad that you wonder if he was the same person. he played real bad. I don't think he would do something malishis?? If we went to the eastern finals. That would surley make the Nets look bad and we would have bragging rights in New York. What if Kid had elevated his game. Look we got beat by the Pacers but it wasn't like we was out of all the games. HMMMMM I wonder what was on Kids mind. I surly wasn't basketball the way he was playing. What do you think???

Jason Kidd approached Nets about coaching job

09:56 AM ET 10.20 | The Nets hired Jason Kidd as a rookie head coach this summer, less than 10 days after his retirement from a Hall of Fame career that lasted 19 seasons. Brooklyn's front office wasn't exactly camped out on Kidd's doorstep, however, waiting to pounce once he technically became available. No, it was Kidd who reached out through his agent to Nets' brass to see if there might be an opportunity, and initially, there wasn't. Nets GM Billy King, speaking during the TNT telecast to David Aldridge during Brooklyn's preseason win over the Heat on Thursday, explained the details of how it all went down, and revealed some of the qualities in Kidd that impressed him enough to give the first-time head coach a shot. David Aldridge: He really kind of recruited you as opposed to the other way around right? Billy King: [nods head in agreement] He did, he did, and you know his agent Jeff Schwartz reached out, and originally I said "No." I said "No, there's no way." Ownership said it, I said "No way." And then they said "Just meet with him," and I did, and I'm glad I did. scrue

it could be that, or he could have just been really, really hungover

I said this all along, the Russian owner wanted to take over NYC basketball by any means necessary. Who else to use than the all time MVP of the Nets Jason Kidd who would show some loyalty. The owner needed someone to infiltrate the leading rival James Dolan & the New York Knicks and figure out what they like to do and how they actually do it.

Kidd is a snake in a suit and his goal is to please the owner with the big bucks.

We should have know the veteran Jason Kidd wasn't' serious about helping the Knicks when he was found guilty of DWI while partying hard in the Hamptons and crashing his Escalade into a pole before training camp even started.

Mission accomplished !

Kidd knows what woody likes to do in all type of situations during the game.

gunsnewing @ 10/22/2013 8:12 PM
Nyets don't need an infiltrator spy to figure out what Woodson is doing. A 5yr old watching on TV can figure him out
Markji @ 10/22/2013 8:39 PM
Joe Johnson played for Woody in Atlanta for 5 years. He could give all the info needed on Woody. Don't need Kidd to do that. Kidd is a professional and he played well for us for a few months. Then his body gave out.

Only difference Joe Johnson wasn't looking to coach anybody, J.Kidd was.

Another thing Joe Johnson didn't play for Woody when Mike Danphoney was here teaching his offense. Woody took a little from Danphoney that Joe Johnson wasn't privy to. Kidd has all the info on Woody and the Knicks. WE SHALL SEE !

Joe Johnson is a top pro. These guys aren't stupid (well, most of them aren't stupid). They know all of the nuances of the game. Many people on this board seems to know everything about Woody anyway. And also about MDA. Don't you think the professional scouts, coaches, etc study game footage and see what any coach has tendencies to do.

Kidd was an excellent addition last year. He probably was thinking about coaching after he retired. But I think he retired at least a year earlier than he originally thought he would due to his poor performance the 2nd half of the year when he physically couldn't do it anymore.

Nalod @ 10/23/2013 11:07 AM
Playa and Papa got a Kidd Konspiracy in play? Really think Kidd Konspired to Kill the Kampaign?

Wow!!!

I think Kidd's legacy, pride and even value would have done better if the team went further. Kidd didn't lose to the Bulls, nets did. I can't see a logical path other than pettiness which is usually found in children, and conspiracy theorists that a HOF player would tank a series to serve a perception like that.

I see you underestimate the Russian owner. SMH

The Russian owner hired Kidd. Smart move, IMHO. However, that doesn't mean Kidd threw games and purposely played poorly.
IronWillGiroud @ 10/24/2013 12:17 PM
i could tell by the way kidd was moving that something was off,

now it makes sense that he was a spy all along, the russian threw the cash at him and used him as a pawn in the game,

it's too much to ignore

Nalod @ 10/24/2013 12:42 PM
Kidd was brainwashed and programed to fail in the playoffs.

Correct- clearly a sleeper agent who was activated during the playoffs. I suspect the programming was done around the time of his supposed drunken car crash.

People always go on about his terrible shooting, but one thing that surprised me during the regular season was how much his passing had declined- he used to throw quite a few passes that were well off target every game.

I never said Kidd threw games, I said he came to infiltrate for the Russian Owner who will do anything to up one on James (DA BLUES SINGER) Dolan.

He probably also paid Kirelinko some real cash with some off shore bank somewhere when he retires from basketball. LOL

Do you really think that Kidd was not talking to the nets and in 10 days after the season he was over he was hired as the coach. I believe he new it. Why did he leave Dallas to come to New York? He probably was also worried that if we won the East he could kiss his job away

IronWillGiroud @ 10/24/2013 9:01 PM
kidd became nets coach june 12,

knicks season ended may 17,

that is almost a month to drink vodka with the russian
