Knicks · On any level--why is Mike Woodson being followed by a Garden employee every where he goes? (page 1)
BRIGGS@ 11/7/2013 2:40 PM
The FBI does not to that to its employees--why would an owner care what Woodson does when hes not purely coaching?

The pathetic actions of a pathetic dictator
VCoug@ 11/7/2013 6:06 PM
That's just Dolan's policy. No one in the Knicks administration is allowed to talk to the press without a member of MSG's PR staff with them. This is the type of shit that happens when our team is run by a spoiled child.
CrushAlot@ 11/7/2013 6:15 PM
Sounds like what Larry brown went through.
knickscity@ 11/7/2013 6:49 PM
If Woody had an issue with it, he didnt have to take the job.
Woodson has played the role of the good company man since being promoted. He accepted Dolan’s ground rules and fired his long-time agent, Keith Glass, because the Glass family had represented Dolan’s all-time adversary, Larry Brown. Woodson also allows himself to be followed by a Garden employee everywhere he goes, whether it’s at home games or on the road. Last season, the employee wouldn’t leave Woodson’s side as the coach met with family and friends outside the visiting team locker room in Atlanta. It was an awkward and uncomfortable scene.
I thought you were talking about how there's always an MSG employee with him when you see him on camera because I knew about that that it's Dolan standard protocol for all Knicks employees. I didn't realize that there was someone with him literally all the time. That's completely fucking absurd and I can't believe that anyone would be willing to put up with being treated like that. I don't know that I can continue to support this team with this monstrous, petulant fucking child of an owner.

That's why I made the poll what coach would be good to take Woody's place.

i voted for svg on that.
with all this known - why would any proven guy want to coach here?
tkf@ 11/7/2013 9:52 PM
how can you ever have a successful franchise when you have a jackass running it this way?
my days as a fan are really hanging on by a thread...
arkrud@ 11/7/2013 10:22 PM

I'm a little late in the Convo....
I just wanna say, why does management send undercover people to spy on me at my job? Why do they hide behind poles looking at what I'm doing?
I feel like you should just do your job. He's a public figure. People are watching him anyway. The reporters are watching. He might have people trying to get their man in his spot. His team is not prepared early in and he is still unsure about his roster. Maybe he needs to do his job and not worry who is watching him. If he had a handle on everything there would be no talk about garden employees watching him.
That's how I see it. He should take responsibility. He is and he should. If he ends up being fired is because of what he did this year. That's how we are all evaluated at work.
You are only as good as your last move is what they say at my job. That's life.

Did you read the article I posted? We're not talking about people watching/evaluating him when he's coaching games or running practices. We're talking about an MSG employee following him around at all times even when he's not performing any team related functions; like meeting some friends and family in Atlanta outside the locker room. Shit like that has nothing to do with job evaluation, it's insecurity and paranoia by Dolan.
