Honestly its a players league....If players were to stand up for eachtother more specifically knicks players, this wouldnt happen. If melo said dolan needs to let the GM and coaches do their job, Whats he gonna do? trade him?
If "superstars" publicly said I cant see myself being apart of that organization
(i.e Manny Ramirez declaring his whole career I will nevr be a yankee, and kill them game after game) that would really make management take a good look in the mirror

It's a valid point but in the case of Dolan you wonder if he even knows what a mirror is. Is there even an example in sports owners who comes close to the Knicks boss in terms of self delusion?
ESPN is reporting that multiple teams are inquiring about Shumpert. Would like to know who they're offering. If he has to go, throw in another player(s) if it can get us a real difference maker. This isn't going to do it.

we cant start Bargs/Melo at the 4/5. There is no huslte, speed, energy, rebounding is weak.
This would be a good lineup (while Chandler is out)
C Bargs
F Faried
F Melo
G JR
G Felton/Prigs
Personally I hope the next to go is Felton. Im done with him. Would love to see JR go but its more likely the Knicks waive Hardaway to sign JR's dad than actually trading him
Faried was 6'7.5" in the predraft measurements and likely has grown since then.
We have endured so much shit from this organization, and we either trade away our talent or replace it with inferior guys.
We gave away a first and second rounder, a 3pt specialist, for a guy who was publically hated and going to get amnestied.......
We trade away tons of picks for a center who was 39 and made of glass
We let go of lin for nothingwe let go of copeland for nothing
We drafted andy rautins as a favor to his dad (dantoni played with him in italy, rautins was nothing special even in college)
And now the ONLY guy who has consistently improved, we're going to trade away for a 1 dimensional player
We sign a scrub as a favor to his inconsistent coke head brother, When we couldve signed diogu or powell, who played very well in SL
When does management SAY WTF are we doing wrong, and just changes their gameplan
if we're trading shump, can we throw in some amare's expiring or bargani expiring, actually do something creative.
Ok so now I just heard it from the horse's mouth (frank isola)...he doesnt think a trade (shumpert for faried) is imminent because denver needs faried since mcgee is out. Yes dolan wants to get rid of shumpert but denver doesnt want to let faried go. In fact during the interview they only spent 30 seconds about the topic. They spent more time talking about this "guaranteed" win vs atlanta. This tells me, the deal isnt to be taken too seriously.
Melo said Shump wasn't going anywhere last year. Apparently he changed his mind.

Way to go
So you mean to tell me their isnt a high energy hustle guy out there who can do what faried is doing?
8 pts, 8 rebounds in 24 mins?
COle aldrich got 7 rbs in 7 mins the other day...........
Now cole aldrich is no faried, not on his best day, but we'd still have shumpert
Really can't hang on to any homegrown talent as a Knicks fan...

I'd be shocked if we can land Faried straight up. That's one of the players the Knicks were considering on draft night, Faried, Shumpert, or Singleton. Chris Singleton obviously sucks, Shumpert days as a Knick are numbered, and Faried doesn't figure into the mix in Denver with all their big men.
Love me Shump, but if they're able to get Faried at a reasonable price, it's a no brainer considering our current situation.
Javale mcgee just fractured something in his leg and is out indefinitely, Faried is now a priority to them

He's off to a slow start. Look at his career #s.
And you could turn the question around. Shumpert is average 9.5 points and 4.7 rbs. Surely there are other guys out there who can do that.
I'm still only luke warm on this trade. It's really just switching seats on the Titanic.

6'6 without shoes and he was 20 when drafted. What is he now? 7 feet?

Don't they still have Hickson and McGee at Center? Darrell Arthur and Anthony Randolph are at PF, so losing Faried isn't the end of the world for them.

Well everyone's reported height is with shoes on. If you want to go by the 6'6" figure, then you have to say that the average PF is about 6'7.5"
I care much more about actual production than measured height.

style of play.
nuggets have slowed the pace down and are using more halfcourt sets. he's only playing 24 mins a game and don't see his skillset translating long term for how they want to play. he can rebound but he is a laying bricks left and right once he's outside of 3 feet. uptempo and hes' gonna be running and dunking. knicks have jr smith and melo playing half court isolation. faried does not make sense. he and chandler will clog up space and melo + jr will have to take mid to long range jumpers. any drive attempt and defenses will just clog up the lane.
fishmike is an idiot. he's nowhere close to rodman b/c the guy can't defend.
NYY1NYK2 wrote:Javale mcgee just fractured something in his leg and is out indefinitely, Faried is now a priority to them
Faried is a 4, they play Hickson and Darrel Arthur there. They also get Wilson Chandler back as well and they start Randy Foye at SG and he's terrible. This trade would have Denver a ton.
Bottom line, a 6'7" energy forward with a wingspan who eats rebounds doesn't stop Hibbert or Noah or Garnett or Lopez or even Jared mfing Sullinger from torching us down low or stop Rose or Wall or Hill or Wade or DWill or Kemba mfing Walker from slicing up our swiss cheese guard D without Shump. This hurts man. It has to be clear to these guys that we love Shumpert and want him to stay here and develop here. What is he missing?

Yea Faried is going to be useless in the halfcourt especially when Tyson comes back
We will live and die with Melo, jr and Felton throwing up bricks from the perimeter. We are trading our best 3pt shooter. Actually our best shooter other than Bargnani

fishmike is an brilliant. he's nowhere close to rodman b/c the guy isnt a great defender yet but at same age the similarities are impossible to ignore.
our stype of play will change with the next coach...
