If this is true, other teams who might want Rondo for a playoff push wouldn't know for sure when he would be back and ready to contribute, so they're holding off. I'm surprised that a team or two didn't at least try a lowball offer, using Rondo's injury as an excuse. That's why I wonder if Ainge is telling the truth.
I know Rondo's rep isn't good after Boston's core and coach packed up and left him, including Garnett and his no trade clause. But I have a hard time believing that no one has called about him.
