Hate the Bulls but I really feel for Rose if this is true....As a basketball fan, I Hate to see young players with promising futures get injured so early in their careers. He has the potential to be an all time great. Sad news if true...
Will Carroll @injuryexpert
Early word on Rose is initial tests suggest acl tear on right knee. MRI to confirm soon. This is bad.
That is rough, especially after all he went through to get back.
ouch!! his mental may be hurting more then anything..
I thought the eastern conference was suppose to be much better this yr, it's worse than it has been in yrs...
Were only a 1 1/2 games out of first place in the atlantic

That's why its too soon to panic. Plenty of time for that later lol.
That sucks.
These guys are too reckless with the way they pay ball. Just an example, Isiah Thomas could jump out the gym. Every once in a while he would dunk the ball like these guys do now, but as a point guard There's no reason to attack the rim like that. Their job is to pass the ball not dunk on 5 guys at full speed for 48 mins and 82 games plus the playoffs. Guys need to slow it down and get their assists up
There's a reason guys like Rod Strickland and Mark Jackson stated in the league so long. They weren't it there making hard cuts all game long with highlight crossovers etc. They played with pace. Changing speeds and using deception. Rod had some serious hops but he was always more concerned with passing and saved his legs buy laying the ball up.
I tore my acl Cuz I kept trying to dunk it at 5'10". Trying to cross guys up takes a toll. All that stopping going and exploding is not good on the knees

well judging from the looks of how it happen, he was just running trying to guard his man,it didn't involve no cutting or sudden mis directions..
He does play the game a bit reckless, but so did A I...I thought he would comeback with a much better jumper, but it's actually gotten worse
The Knicks chances just increased for a higher seed. If I'm Chicago tank mode. Get Wiggins and back to the glory days of championships, Thibs needs to wise up time to lose. I feel bad for Rose but that's basketball and any player can go down anytime, minutes restriction wouldn't of helped him either as it won't help Amare or Kenyon. I always thought Rose relied to heavily on athleticism so injuries are going to be common for him.

There was an article out last year about young players who suffered ACL tears and the numbers it had said that the players' jumper usually improves in the second year after the surgery.

Allen Iverson was more slick with it. He used the Change of speed game especially when they moved him to off guard. He also stopped trying to dunk it on cats too.
Westbrook needs to learn this too. Dude was dunking like a video game his first game back lol.
I used to be able to jump and grab the rim with two hands on the vertical. Im from Brooklyn and when I came up all we did was take guys to the basket. So my knees were probably just tore up waiting to pop until it finally did.
The way Shump tore his was the result of just that. He was already out some games that year for the Same knee. That's the sign. I had to pay with a knee sleeve some times as a teen and up until I tore it cuz it would sell or get tight. That's the writing on the wall.

Good luck getting Thibodeau to go along.

Their owner is cheap- likely he looks to unload them and save all that money.
You know, I've never warmed to Rose- I know he's a talent, but I just don't like him. Still I hope he's okay- can't imaging how mentally crushing it must be to rehab back from one ACL tear, and then tear the other. Hopefully it's just some sort of sprain.

Yeah I know he is a hell of a coach. But franchise should really think hard about tanking they have a chance at the next in this draft.

Tanking..smh..The idea alone is absurd
Listening to an orthopedist on ESPN, he saying that the odds of having another tear increases greatly after the first one. Did not know that.

Is it his other knee this time?

Yeah thought it was the right knee this time.
He probably has been over compensating with the good leg. He's going to have to re invent himself. Slow down
No one plays to lose
