How long until we give in and give him everything he wants this time?

I don't understand why we would give up a first round pick for a rental when we are nowhere near contending. No more giving away picks god damn

any mention of who's going out to match salaries?

There are some reports of who would be included but not from people I trust yet. So I choose to not believe it until someone credible cosigns.

I'll believe it when they announce Lowry has switched to CAA

was just reading posting and toasting and this comment was funny enough to re-post here:

"It must be funny for Masai to be like "ugh... I already took all their picks"

Woj says the deal at the moment is Felton, MWP and a 2018 first rounder. No doubt we also don't bother protecting it. Brilliant.

Ha Nets are trolling- they're apparently interested! Still, at least they can't give up a pick. I suspect the Toronto GM is making this up and just rehashing his Melo trade tactics to pressure us into giving up a pick.

Are we getting anyone else besides lowry?
Maybe Terrence ross?
nixluva @ 12/12/2013 4:37 PM
Judging how much better this team looks without Felton at the point it's a deal worth making. This franchise is already too far gone to worry about picks now. That ship has sailed. Might as well keep digging and go for Lowry. He's a legit PG.

Last time we traded with that GM, the additional players we got back were Sheldon Williams and broken down Anthony Carter and Balkman- don't hold your breath!

Then you can say goodbye to cap space in 2015 as well.

Well when they put crap like Felon and MWP on the table they have to give up a pick because no one wants them. The deal should be Shumpert and Felton

But he'd just be a rental, or we destroy the 2015 plan. And we lose another first rounder- it's the same mistake we always end up complaining about!

Stay strong Fellow ultimate Knick posters- resist, resist!

Woody went sour on MWP quick- wonder what happened.

Bingo! Lowry is not worth a 2018 1st and 2 other players if he is just a 5 month rental. Lowry is not worth messing up our 2015 Cap space if you want to resign him in the off season. The only way you do a trade like this is if the player will put you in title contention. We are no where near title contention.

If Wojo is correct Felton Artest & a 1st rounder in 2018 for Lowry that's a steal. Believe it when I see it. Rumored deals never go down exactly as expected

Please explain how losing a 1st rounder for a 5 month rental is a steal?

That's what I'd like to know- he used to be known as a defensive PG, no idea if he still is

His opponent's PER is pretty low and his on/off +/- is pretty good. But Yellowboy usually posts the stats of the opponent's FG% from different locations on the floor.
Lowry's offensive stats are pretty good. I'd rather have him than anyone on this roster.

I'm in the middle of finals so no help from me. Sorry. I just lurk/post occasionally when my mind starts to wonder.

Exactly- watching us deal with that GM, is like watching that scene in Deliverance on repeat play.

yellowboy90 @ 12/12/2013 4:54 PM
If they give up the 1st rd pick then they better get back the 2nd rd picks they gave up and more. Hopefully this year.

What does Lowry's contract look like?
