Knicks · Betrayal? wtf? (page 1)

EnySpree @ 12/30/2013 7:08 PM
Anybody see the pic jr Smith posted after his brother was waived?

That's conduct detrimental to the team and I'm done with him. He needs to be traded asap. No question about it.

EnySpree @ 12/30/2013 7:13 PM
Can someone post it I can't do it from my phone. I been trying

I wish someone would betray me by handing me $500,000 for doing something I am not qualified for....LMAO
EnySpree @ 12/30/2013 7:15 PM
Thanks man..... he should not play another game for the knicks. No way
SwishAndDish13 @ 12/30/2013 7:18 PM
I thought it was ridiculous that he got a half a mil just for being JR's brother. Not sure why he feels betrayed.
BigDaddyG @ 12/30/2013 7:23 PM
No harm no foul. Chris Smith kept Tyler's seat warm until he finished rehab, Smith gets about half a million and practice time underachieving NBA vets and the team continues to play like crap. As for JR, he should think about how betrayed the fans and the organization by failing to doctor his piss test. If it bothers him that much, he should use it as fuel to play better and up his trade value.

See this is why i kept saying that we had to let JR Smith go. Its funny because most people said we got him for a bargain lol

I thought we were paying for "pre-elbow" JR. I feel so betrayed.

Dude was playing for a contract last year and at that level his current deal is a bargain.

We all know his value was limited because of his past. Nalod never trusted this dude and liked the ego-centric nature that is him. No, he is not a hardened criminal or a bad dude, just an immature unprofessional man who has not lived up to his potential.

Thats his cross to bear, ours is dealing with a cap hold commitment on the books and his erratic play.

Dude has 15mil per year talent and is a shame if he loves to play, that he can't muster up the maturity.

Betrayed? He has betrayed his fans, his talent, and those that have gone to bat for him. Seems like he has betrayed Woodson as well.

He shouldn't have been allowed to play another game after he pulled the stunt on Woodson. His coach could have lost his job for that. That was just after coming back from a drug suspension. Now this. Can't imagine how a guy like Ike Diogu feels. Going to a camp where you think you have a chance and the worst guy there is already penciled in for the spot you are working hard to get. Suspend him and keep him away from the team. Trade him or use the stretch provision on his deal and waive him. You can only compromise your integrity so much for talent. He isn't that good and he isn't worth it.
anrst @ 12/30/2013 10:10 PM
nice of JR to make Tyler feel welcome.
sidsanders @ 12/30/2013 10:15 PM
old news, though smith should think back, if he can...

http://www.sbnation.com/nba/2012/7/15/31...
key point:

Asked if Lin's contract could cause a challenging dynamic with his teammates, Smith agreed.

"Without a doubt," he said. "I think some guys take it personal, because they've been doing it longer and haven't received any reward for it yet. I think it's a tough subject to touch on for a lot of guys."

gunsnewing @ 12/30/2013 10:51 PM
^absurd

Talking out of place as usual

Maybe I'm wrong but I'd say Jeremy Lin is a lot of deserving than that thing they call Chris Smith

Nepotism in Madison Square Garden? Nonsense!

When your father brother has leant you the juice card, don't feel sorry signing your name on the receipt at checkout!

They know about loyalty in the Garden, y'all.

Dolan the Elder Defends His Son's Knicks Tenure (2006)
http://www.nytimes.com/2006/06/26/sports...

"I don't know of anyone with broader or more rigorous training or who has worked harder and accomplished more for the company," Charles Dolan wrote of his son. "As chief executive for the past 10 years, he has led the company to a strategic focus on the New York area while offering the nation's best-selling cable, phone and Internet services. Thus, he has created an organization that is widely recognized as one of the most competitive in the telecom industry, rewarding both its customers and its owners."

Haha. He said "competitive" and "cable" in the same paragraph.

What a tool! JR is betraying Knicks.
SupremeCommander @ 12/31/2013 8:44 AM
As Ray Felton would say, "ride with us"
gunsnewing @ 12/31/2013 8:45 AM
lol yea
GoNyGoNyGo @ 12/31/2013 8:49 AM
he should be ashamed of himself but he wont be. He is a fool. Woodson tried to do the right thing and teach the fool how to be a man. I think the evidence is showing that has failed. The team has been nothing but great to him and he is acting this way? Once a fool always a fool and this fool must GO!

Hardaway is already a better player. Play him. Dump Smith for anyone you can.

gunsnewing @ 12/31/2013 8:58 AM
The Knicks are even bigger fools for signing JR to 3-4yrs when they had Shumpert, Hardaway and beno

I was vehemently against resigning this loser for this very reason. Even if it was for the league minimum

Not only did we sign him but we waisted a roster spot and half a million on his loser brother
