A little surprised it took him to long to be honest

Who can blame him? I wish I could trade my fanhood to another team as well.
Andrew @ 1/20/2014 9:04 PM
One of several knicks who seeming want out, or are minimally unhappy with the situation they are in.
CrushAlot @ 1/20/2014 9:06 PM
Probably the best move for both parties.
NumberTwoPencil @ 1/20/2014 9:11 PM
Yup. He's not an awful back up, as long as you don't need your back up to score.

Absolutely. What could we get for him though, a 2 rounder at best?

I feel the same bro. It's like an abusive relationship

EnySpree @ 1/20/2014 9:34 PM
Btw this is embarrassing.

The knicks should have tried to trade Beno a month ago. Somebody needs to save this team. We are truly lost

franco12 @ 1/20/2014 9:42 PM
he probably wants a trade because the guys playing in front of him are worse than he is.

The guy sucks. Last summer I really thought that he was a really good find. I do think that Woody isn't managing the lineup well at all. Also, Ben has no trade value. What could we possible get back in return for the knuckle head.

This team is screwed for the next 3 years. The Barngani (close enough) trade has to be the worst trade we have made in 10 yrs. Definitely Isaiah like. I can't believe we gave up a pick for the guy. DOOOOOOOLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLAAAAAAAAAANNNN! I had to rant.

I'll take it. Do we even have a second rounder in the Draft this june? Denver is in position to get a lottery Pick Courtesy of Dolan.

Grunwald got a second rounder for Brewer last year. I would think Beno's value would be at least that high.

Knicks messed up. They should have signed Kendall Marshall a month ago. This team needs a pt guard so badly. Someone young with some quickness/speed. Beno wasn't needed with Pablo on the team. I liked Collison who signed with Clips

Agree. The guy was a lottery pick. It doesn't matter that the Knicks are trying to develop an undrafted player in Tourre so that he can hopefully become a rotation player. Marshall was a free lottery pick just waiting to be signed. Also, the guy is hitting his shots now.

Beno and MWP for Dunleavy would be awesome but a protected 2nd rounder is more likely.

Is Chicago looking to move Dunleavy?

Also, do teams protect second rounder picks?

You said we need someone with quickness and speed and then you point to Kendall Marshall who is slow and unathletic. The dude is hitting his shots, but he still has flaws(defense, inability to penetrate). I wouldn't get too hung up on that. As for Beno, he just hasn't played that well for us. Part of that could be attributed to the way Woodson uses him. But his defense has been horrendous and his decision make has been poor. I hope he is able to find his game elsewhere.

trade to a team that loves or needs a veteran.

San antonio for a pick
OKC for a pick
Sac for bench warming fredette

tkf @ 1/20/2014 10:13 PM
And so it begins....

Yes the pick the knicks got from OKC was protected via Sacremento(I think)
