I'm pretty sure an elite coach would want nothing to do with him

A 7fter who can drain mid range jumpers, drives to the rim like a smaller player, and plays above average man D? I have no doubt that an elite coach would want him if they needed some front court help. As his star player or a starter? Probably not, but I've seen enough of what Bargs has done here to believe he can help a team contend.

I still have no idea how they rationally pulled off this deal. He is a below average defender, rebounder and shooter. In addition he really needs to be showcased to be effective.

We could have used that 1st rounder to get Lowry and that would have actually made a difference.

King of the panic stupidity moves. Jordan Hill and a pick to get rid of JJ, signing Novak to a four year deal. Let Lin go define his market, but not Novak or jr??

The team plays better without bargs. Period

Thats funny, but I really think he would shine under MDA (at least offensively). He's just a brutal help defender and im already sick of seeing him switch onto a pg and watch him tap dance while the pg does a simply cross over, shoots over him, or blows by him.. It really is pain full to watch.

You know he actually has a TON of stops against guards as well, but people tend to just ignore the fact that he blocks a lot of those drive attempts by guards. The thing is that Bargs has not been used to the best here in NY even tho it's been obvious what his strengths ad weaknesses are. He's not the reason this team struggled. In fact when Tyson was out Bargs played great and the team won games, because the REAL problem with the team has been guard play!!! All you had to do was look at the fact that Felton, JR and SHump were all shooting below 40% this year and that is the real reason this team struggled. When they all shoot better suddenly this team looks like a decent team again. This nonsense about Bargs has to stop. People were saying we lost because of Tyson when the team won games while he was out. IT'S THE GUARDS!!!

nix, this offensive system is design to play small ball, I don't doubt barg is a little better playing center without another big on the floor, but for everything he does right/good he does something wrong/bad 2 steps fwd 2 steps back. The idea

Woodson deosnt utilize his strengths all that much so he tends look challenged at times. It's similar to how he used Novak (no screens what so ever) once defenses started locking in on him. when you have players that have a specific skill set u capitalize on that.

All I know is that Bargs played well when Tyson was out and the team was functioning well during that brief stretch. It's just not true that the team can't play well with Bargs in the mix. It's up to the coach to find the right mix. I have no problem with the fact that his absence is giving Tyler more of a opportunity tho. I really like this kid for the teams future.
