I gotta agree with you. His elbow injury is a blessing in disguise. Watching Barganni play was very madding. The lack of situational awareness on his part was the most frustrating.

Well they seemed to have it back for 5 games and then Tyson came back. I think the Knicks can only play with one traditional big. Bargs or Tyson. Although the KMart/Bargs line up worked very well together.

Nan, the bench suits him well. The only other thing we are missing from last year is the pick and roll... we need to get tyson going again.

Bargs didn't kill a thing, Woodson did and always and will be the issue concerning who plays with who on the court.
You see it Briggs ,but woodrow is clueless and doesn't have competent assistants to point this out to him... just yes men.

The inability to capitalize on his skills fall at the feet of Woodson. If left at the center spot, he gives the same rebounds and blocks as Chandler, with much better offense.

Same rebounds? He does give us some strengths that Tyson doesn't, but it sounds ridiculous when throw things in like same rebounds. Tyson was a big part of the only good regular season this team has had this century. We need to get him back to that level (or trade him). I think the ceiling is about .450 on this team with Bargs at center. You'll never find him starting at C on a contending team.

When our "center" is parked at the top of the key, waiting to be included in the offense, you've got to admit that he not in prime rebounding position. He can't even tap it out, and get credit for a rebound, like some centers do. Tyson hasn't been Tyson since before the playoffs last year. On top of that, he's a finger pointer. Not a good look on a team spiraling downward. Trade him and his 15 million dollar hit on the cap. Somebody still sees magic in him. I see draft picks.
Barg's complete lack of passion (outside of about 3 games) has grated on me- I can't stand him now, and I find it suspicious that he personifies everything thats wrong with this team- poor shooting, preference for long two pointers, lack of rebounding, lack of effort every game, inconsistency, terrible help defense. I'm interested to see how we do without him.

i agree, he was toxic
but at the 5 he woulda been good for us
wait - how many games did Chandler and Bargs actually play together? We've had plenty of Bargs at the 5.
Now - I don't think he killed the chemistry unless players just hate him which is possible.
This team just blows. But Barg chucking up threes wasn't helping.
it isn't bargnani being added it's about him being added and jason kidd being subtracted.
bargnani has a usage of 22.4 this year and an assist rate of 6.3 for a ratio of 3.55:1
put him in any lineup with another guy with high usage and low assist rate, like anything over 1.80:1, and you will see chemistry and cohesion issues right away.
carmelo anthony is 31.7 usage and 15.4 assist rate for a ratio of 2.05:1
and lets not forget neither is a two-way player.

Our guards have been by far the worst guards in the NBA --- all season long.
Bargs has been our 2nd best player all-year and Melo has played very well all season.
We have potentially the worst starting pg and worst starting sg in the NBA and our former defensive player of the year has been completely out-played by BARGs all year.
