Herb the sequel? Woodson deserves to be fired but I'm not too amped about who Woodson has on the bench to replace him. Its more than likely it will be one of them and not some elite coach riding to the rescue. If not its going to be Allan Houston, meh.

I agree but Dolan sure loves his flunkies. Mills looks like he is here to stay. Probably will be here when all those big contracts come off the books. The only way I see that changing is if Melo says that he won't come back without a legit, proven, GM and coach.
Melo should use his leverage to push Dolan into the background like he was for a stretch under Walsh and to some extent Grunwald, before he went back to using whatever makes him look like he just got off a bender 24/7.

Pretty much this but at this point I'm just getting sick of the guy. I know the team won't improve with Herb but it does seem as if some of the players are tuning Woodson out.

i came to realize this is the year i have watched the least amount of nba basketball since i have became a big fan...
knick fans...we are all traumatized...it is really quite sad partially because we continue to spend our time on this ish...
we are heading towards becoming worse than the red sox in the 20th century as a business that functions and is hugely wealthy and runs a team in the late post industrial capitalist era in a profession that creates faux socialist electoral college-ish oriented structures (salary cap) that hurts rich over spending teams like the knicks, and awards patient less wealthy teams far more so.
if we had an nfl type cap we would likely be better more often because you can't overpay anyone really for too long (shoot you can just cut them, no?). and, we would likely be one of the best teams if we had a mlb or international soccer type system...aka no cap (no wonder the yankees and manchester city...my fav soccer team btw...are partners and will support the new nyc based mls team).
we are doomed forever, baring some luck or some brilliant management which seems less likely given the financial demands/expectations of the organization.
it is becoming ever more clear why djsu is now a raptors fan...
the cba of the nba will doom the knicks until something bizarro changes...
