Pretty much. Love P&T!

The 3 way deal w/ Shump heading to ATL, Lowry to Knicks, ATL 1st rounder to Toronto would still be a risky move if Lowry were to stay (he's out quite a bit) or leave after the year.

They're crap. We already know this. They have records that predate Woodson.
SupremeCommander @ 2/17/2014 7:56 PM
I'm very interested. The Hawks are first in the league in assists per game. Teague is first in assists on the Hawks.
chewy @ 2/17/2014 9:20 PM
Why would ATL give up a 1st for getting Shump? How bout the Knicks cut the middle man out and get JT for 8 mil per. Trade them Felton and Shump and get there 1st. Ok its cutting into 2015 but Felton and JR will be cutting into 2015 and trading Felton would be have of the problem.

Shump does have ties to the Atlanta area from his Georgia Tech days. The Hawks would know him better than any other team. Maybe they see something we don't.

They see something that Shump refuses to show us. Shump is very talented but he is just a mentally weak minded player. If a change of scenery can help him then it would be in the benefit of both the Knicks and Hawks.

Yeah, was just reading that Ferry is not too pleased with Teague's contract. If thats the case, Ferry is not taking back long contracts (no Felton or JR), so Chandler may be able to get it done, but I do not like the idea of giving up a big for a small straight up. Need something else back...maybe a pick....

Tyson makes double of that Teague makes. So they would have to had filers or make the trade bigger.

Tyson for Teague, Brand and some sprinkles

EnySpree @ 2/18/2014 7:41 AM
Getting Teague or Lowry will make the knicks a lot better. If they can move Shump too, they would force Woodson to play Tim or Jr at the 2. If he still has Priggy starting if we get either pg then he's just a stupid ass
EnySpree @ 2/18/2014 7:46 AM
Just using my imagination....

Starting Tyler, Melo, Bargs, Teague and Thjr with Amare and jr smith off the bench is damn good. If the kicks could make that happen we will be fine going forward.

teague is owed $8 mil a year for the next 3 years after this one.

as a raptors fan...i am really not sure what is going to happen with lowry.

is ujiri just doing due diligence and that's what all these trade discussions are - just seeing what's out there?
or does he believe lowry is not the long term answer for us (and by us i mean raptors)?
or has lowry indicated his contract demands and ujiri doesn't want to match them?
but he's a major personality that clashes with all his coaches. but i don't think that's a big enough scare to pass on him.

i'm hoping the raptors get something of real value if they move him - and that means picks + young players or an upgrade in talent.

i am not a fan of teague so i don't want him. but he's accompanied by hardaway jr and a pick, then i wouldn't mind as much. even tho i think hardaway is basically a catch and shoot player right now without any defense.

Aha Now you speak grasshopper!

I thought this new GM was assured Lowry would sign and stay in Toronto, the GTA needed him for the Raptors to keep winning.

NOW YOU CHANGE YOUR TUNE. HE's nt signing with those fakers.

Ok so why don't we just cut out the Raptors? If ATL is willing to give up a first then why the Knicks isn't trying to get that pick. Felton and Shump for JT and pick is much better for the Knicks then getting Lowry. IMO

fishmike @ 2/18/2014 9:03 AM
Teague would be really good. He can score and really push the ball. He can do something none of our guards can, except maybe JR and thats create his own shot. Lowry is a build around player IMO. If you can keep THjr in a Lowry trade then yes... I would give up a pick for him along w/ Shump, Felton, etc..

Melo, Lowry, THjr, JR, Chandler starting
bench: Prigs, Amare, KMart, etc...

I think thats a lot closer to the team that won 50+ then what we are seeing now...

JonsTintedTails @ 2/18/2014 9:10 AM
If the Knicks trade THjr, I'm done

I can't see a first rounder coming back to the Knicks. At best a second round pick. Felton and Shump are not having great seasons or for that matter good to decent season.

Same here. Trading THJ would signify a lack if plan going forward, a push for the nearest instant gratification which is a useless playoff seeding with no eyes to the future.

Bonn1997 @ 2/18/2014 9:30 AM
Teague is an upgrade but not worth the amount of salary we'd be adding. I don't want to add $8 mil per through 2017 just so that we can go from a .380 to a .430 team. If they gave us several draft picks, that would be another story.

why? He's a nice catch and shoot player right now. Shooters are nice to have. He's shown very little else in his game. High IQ for sure, but this notion the guy is untouchable is over the top. Kind of like how Landry Fields was a couple years ago.

Much easier to get shooters then to get get a playmaking 2 way PG.

I'm sure 'if the Knicks trade x, I'm done' should be the official Knicks slogan- we've all said or thought it so many times over the years, but seem to come crawling back...

He has so much upside that's why. He still needs to develop more but you can tell this guy has the skillset to take the next step.

I agree, I'm no so enamoured with Tim Jr as a lot of people seem to be- I just don't think he's going to improve that much over the coming years. Might be another Channing frye/ Landry Fields.

well number 1 - when has anyone ever said ujiri assured lowry of anything? where did you read that? from me? please provide a link.

number 2, nothing has happened.

number 3 - i said in my previous posts about lowry is that letting him walk still isn't the end of the world for us.

number 4 - if you read the latest articles, there is still beef between him and casey...so new intel says he's still a bit of a malcontent.

number 5 - nothing has happened.

he also grew up hating the Knicks and his father works for the Heat. He's a poor defender right out of the gate. He doesnt create his own shot...

Look, I hear you. He's shown everything you want your picks to show: he contributes, has upside, high IQ, etc

He's also a sell high player... Im ok with moving him if we get a nice building block moving forward. PG is simply a more important position in the league than SG. Its why these guys are so coveted
