Dolan spoke first, reading from a sheet of paper as he welcomed back Jackson, who won two championships with the Knicks in the 1970s. He awkwardly joked that Jackson would let him play if the team were ahead by more than 30 points. At one point, he laughed and dropped the line “if this doesn’t go well” when he was talking about their new partnership. Which was not exactly funny, considering things haven’t gone well for the Knicks basically since Dolan took over 15 years ago. - NYTimes

knicks1248 - Dolan is no business man. He was born into a wealthy family. Huge difference.
Throughout his early adult life Dolan battled drug and alcohol problems and was reportedly known for having a volatile temper. In 1993 he was sent to drug rehabilitation at the Hazelden clinic in Center City, Minnesota.
After originally pursuing a career in music, Dolan eventually switched to a major in communications at SUNY New Paltz and began working for Cablevision in various capacities including sales before eventually being dispatched to Cleveland by his father to manage the launching of a sports radio station. In 1995 he was made CEO of Cablevision.
He's certainly continuing the growth, It's not like he took his fathers company and ran it into the ground. But I get your point, I really feel like the ppl around him are both good and bad for him.
His franchise is worth more then any in the NBA and he they hasn't won a championship in his tenure. Thats not entirely because of location

Here is a really good breakdown of the Triangle Offense that should make it clearer for those who aren't sure what the big deal is. I think at some point this will be the offense this team plays.
If you watch the player movement then you can understand how 2 Bigs can coexist in this offense. There's always some motion going on. A big sets a screen and on the other side another big flashes into the paint to post up and the 1st big moves out and takes his man with him or if he's left open he has a shot. The basic rules of the Triangle may take some time to perfect but when they do get it and it becomes 2nd nature then you really would have something.

Lupica has been so annoying recently, and I'm a fan of his. While he wants to give Woody a pass for this season he says he should get all the credit for last season. For the past two weeks he seems like he is reaching for anything and everything negative. He just seems ultra whiney.

Just dawned on me that Phil Jackson coming here means guys like Lebron and Durant are going to look at the Knicks differently. Phil Jackson represents the Knicks!!

I dont think you can sincerely have a conversation with Phil and not be in total agreement with what he's saying. His gift is public relations. I think guys will sign here and not even know how it happened.

Irving Azoff is notorious for arranging spontaneous meetings with musicians who've had a falling out. He invited both Jax and Dolan to a party in December unknowingly the 2 engaged in convo and the rest is history!
