Yep, playoffs numbers were pretty good but his yearly stats is not that great for people to call him a sharp shooter. I hope he grows into the all around player he was at UF and continue to improve his shot selection. That will be on his coaches too though.
I've been watching Beal since he and Austin Rivers committed to UF. People fall in love with his shooting form and since he is young they go gaga. He is a nice player that's growing.

Yeah ... I have not watched all of his playoff games playoff but the ones that I have watched he did not shoot too well. Apparently, he had a number of good games that I missed.
Beal was certainly overrated during the regular season based on his production though some don't really care about numbers and have their own criteria.
THE CRITERIA DOES NOT CHANGE. YOU ARE EITHER EFFICIENT OR NOT. IF YOU ARE NOT THEN YOU BETTER BE MAKING UP FOR IT SOMEWHERE ELSE.
He had a good playoffs which is too small a sample size to judge (compared to his 73 games in the regular season). Let's see how he plays next year.
GAGA was a good way to put it.
The reason why I actually think that Beal has potential is that he really does have great form and he is so efficient from 3. He is pretty bad from 2 so that is a sign that he may just need better shot selection to become a good player. He also needs to get to the line more often.
If you look at Reggie Millers first 2 seasons and how efficient he was you can see that its not just about age. People are talking about Beal as if he was the next Reggie Miller.

True. It would just depend on how well their bigs do against the spurs. Tyson is an all in crapshoot that a team might take because its a one year buy and low draft picks are expendable to them.

I was thinking about that last night (that he has never made a conference final) however, a player should not be judged on what his team did if he played well and Paul has had some absolutely brilliant playoff years.

I agree you can't just look at playoff wins- I genuinely don't understand though why CP3 doesn't seem to get further in the playoffs- his stats always look good, he plays great, he's had some good teams- not sure what else he can do.
