Is he going to get suspension apparently he left the bench during last game. I have never been happy with this PJ Brown-Ward rule. It cost the Knicks big time will it cost the Pacers. What you guys think is it time to change this stupid rule?
My money is NO.
Adam Silver has showed that he is too smart and level headed to suspend him.
He will circumvent the rule and create a new precedent.
I would file a grieveance if not. I mean the NBA kicked the Knicks out of the playoffs over following that rule to the letter. Either change it or follow it.
He won't get suspended- he should, but I don't think he will. That rule is beyond stupid, but if we suffered from it in 1999, and the suns suffered from it a few years ago, then it's only fair the Pacers do too.
Paul George? but not John and Ringo?
You think they would have followed through on that rule for Jordan or LeBron. I think George will play. As far as the 1997 thing it bugs me to this day. They should have give the Knicks a choice as to who gets suspended and the combination as it covered two games.

One can only wonder how long you've had that one on the backburner

Theres a lot back there where that came from!!!
Its a burden.
"During an altercation, all players not participating in the game must remain in the immediate vicinity of their bench."
he stood up to look at what was happening, took a half step onto the court in doing so, and then was pushed back by an assistant coach without putting up a fight.
no suspension come on.

I agree. You can't change that on the fly.

Yeah, that sucked for us. But maybe this commissioner wouldn't have suspended the Knicks either. Maybe he has more common sense. You're talking about a different commissioner and from two decades ago.
That happened to the Knicks more than once and there was a zero tolerance view on it. D o Paul George should be suspended. No benefit of doubt.
you guys are letting your irrational hatred of a perceived rival get in the way of what is clearly an unviable accusation.
Ewing getting suspended was absurd. That brawl was my worse day as a fan. We would've went toe to toe with the bulls. Bulls destroyed Miami

maybe your too young to remember. Knick players were suspended that were not involved at all, they simply stood up and walked onto the court. I think Ewing or Starks took like 2 steps off the bench and were suspended. Literally all they did was stand and watch. Sorry dude... I know Paul George is your golden boy but he should be held to the same standard and letter of the law. Nobody is asking for anything to be done to PG that wasnt already done to the Knicks already and YES during playoff elimination games. In case you forgot Knicks were leading Heat series 3-2 before literally every player was suspended for either game 6 or 7

it has nothing to do with my like or dislike of a particular player-- that would be an emotional and irrational reaction. i would have the exact same response of any player i am not a fan of.
when diaw and stoudemire left the bench they went half way down the sideline towards the scorer's table. what they did was wrong and they in fact left the immediate vicinity of the bench. i didn't like the suspensions at all but they broke the rule, clearly.
look carefully at the rule itself-- "players must remain in the immediate vicinity of the bench."
look carefully at what actually transpired with paul george.
think carefully whether george violated the very carefully worded rule.
if you are going to compare the ewing and starks event with the paul george event then at least find the footage in question of them otherwise it's just going to be seen as more bloviating by you.

exactly... and I like the use of the word "perceived", because we are not rivals with the pacers at this point.... not even close to being..
Yea people are rooting for the pacers to fail because they are everything we are not. I'm rooting for the pacers because I want to see a good ECF. Miami will smoke Atlanta, Washington, Brooklyn & Toronto

Aaaaaaaarrrrrrgggghhhhh! It still hurts! Instead of an epic series, we got an absolute dud because the Heat didn't deserve to be there.

I think the Wiz will give Miami a good run for their money. Gortat is playing great, and the Wall \ Beal backourt is no joke and dont forget Nene.

Yea we were up 3-1 on Miami. The only way they were beating us was by fighting and getting our best players suspended
