What, are you posting on these boards from the 1950s?!

What, do you take an hour to figure out what you want to eat? You wearing a fanny pack?
Go change your panty liner.

At least in 1950, it would only be 20 years until we win a chip. (Yeah, dktf/tkf, that's for you)

You have strange notions of women and men...

if the knicks decide to retain anthiny's services then really they are going to be forced to bring in doc rivers who is one of the few coaches that anthiny will perhaps obey.

it would be so much easier if we simply got rid of anthiny and started from scratch.

We wouldn't have expected any less from you!

BTW, you know that Melo would be subservent to Doc Rivers? Hire the coach, ask melo if its a negative or positive but understand Melo gonna do what Melo gonna do.

and that is the problem. nonetheless you are being very fatalistic, almost resigned to being held hostage by anthiny. antiny. anti-ny.

i like the sound and look of that: marshmelo anti-ny. the 25-million dollar man with the 50-year old shoulders.

the truth is Phil Jackson will not pay Melo the MAX, it is a given

Phil Jackson was brought here to execute all basketball decisions, giving Melo a max contract would limit any future possible deals to build a team, much less a contender
If that was the plan, Phil Jackson would not need FULL CONTROL of basketball decisions or needed to come in to be paid 10-12m per year to say "Yes, Dolan"

Steve Kerr "I HATE ISO BASKETBALL"

Phil Jackson wants Steve Kerr as head coach, it cannot be anymore obvious, he will rather CA walk than pay him a max deal, it is what it is....

Kerr hates iso basketball? I think I like him already.

Could be why he got punched in the face.

But seriously what does that have to do with anything? Kerr wasn't the coach at the time.

I do get what you're saying but I think on this forum when someone says "ISO ball" they mean something a little more specific

Our last second "don't know what to do so let's dump it to Melo and hope for the best" occurrences that Phil pointed out and Melo himself even alluded to. Also, the fact that down the stretch our only play was to just give him the ball over and over again and hope it works out.

I don't think ISO itself is bad but we've all seen how over reliance on it can be a bad thing.

Right. Jordan also shot over 50% for his career and knew when to get his teammates good looks

That's exactly what Phil meant when he said the players felt that they had talent but often forced the "Talent"(in this case Melo) down teams throats late in games.

Knicks had been so predictable late in games under Woodson it was embarassing

Well that's a function of the players isn't it...When people refer to ISO around here, they are often referring to the style of play Woody likes, which isn't necessarily true true or the style of play Melo likes...That is what I garner from the ISO ball reference...

It's a function of everyone. Every time people here complained about iso it was when we made it our only strategy late in games or sometimes throughout the entire game. 2 seasons ago when we moved the ball and Melo isolated himself every once in a while, no one complained because iso's are part of the game.
