Would have really like it if we were able to get
Nikola Jovic
Dwight Powell
Spencer Dwinwiddie
however, there are still some talents that I feel could be great acquisitions for us
By July 1st we would also explore buying the rights for players or a player drafted with another 3m to spend
Center
============
Backnaski, he is 25, but a shot blocking C that is extremely mobile, rebounds the ball, very mature, has high IQ, and lefty with decent stroke/post game
PG/SG's
=============
DeAndre Kane
Kendall Williams
I think both Kane and Kendall Williams are Phil Jackson type PG's while getting a development coach/assistant coach like Ron Harper or even Walt Frazier, maybe Billups *who I think would have been great to mentor Spencer Dwinwidde who was drafted by Detroit and has a team option on Billups so he could be in the plans of guiding him develop as a assistant/development coach or players coach*
Bryce Cotton ex NYK standout of Lasalle High School coaching him, God Shamgod, who went to school and played with MWP aka RonRon aka Ron Artest, played for Providence for 3 years as a Junior guided by Shamgod as a coach
DEONTE BURTON, has 1st round potential though not a Phil Jackson like PG, more of a SG than PG, but NBA ready scorer/athleticism though only 6-1
Burton ironically is comparable to a YOUNG Raymond Felton but with 10x more athleticism, ability to penetrate/finish, making him comparable to a hybrid of Felton and Wade/Monta Ellis
He is also very strong and has the physical tools to become a good NBA defender, with these abilities he would be a good fit for Calderon though he isn't a Phil Jackson type PG
Could also go with a player like Darrius Morris, an ex Laker and I am sure has learned some of the triangle even without Phil Jackson there
I didn't even realize he was undrafted till a couple seconds ago...
