Knicks · Tyson & Felton to Dallas (page 1)

No Shump whew

Hector @ 6/25/2014 4:31 PM
Do I hear 6???
MS @ 6/25/2014 4:34 PM
This deal is terrible.

Calderon is signed for another three years at 7MM per. He can't play defense and has a lot of miles on him. Larkin is 5'11 and Dalmbert isn't better than Tyson. You add years and don't really get anyone that's a solid rotation player.

Phil better get his shit together.

gunsnewing @ 6/25/2014 4:36 PM
He is cheaper than Tyson I guess and might fit the triangle

We were kinda stuck with Felton

Need to give this more thought

Shane Larkin is Dallas best PG prospect. Any info?

I'd rather let Tyson expire. Calderon defense is worse than Felton's and he's slowing down on offense. We should at least get a pick out of this.
gunsnewing @ 6/25/2014 4:40 PM
They added Larkin because their pick isn't good enough stein is saying
gunsnewing @ 6/25/2014 4:41 PM
Maybe we can trade these guys

It makes no sense interms of 2015 this is an isiah thomas trade

Clean @ 6/25/2014 4:45 PM
If Lebron, Wade and Bosh sign with another team this offseason who is left for 2015?
MS @ 6/25/2014 4:45 PM
Why not just take Jeff Teague if you are going to take Jose's shitty contract. I don't get this at all. Chandler is expiring and will have value at the deadline to a contender.

Why not look at Livingston, Mills and explore other trades. This would be a big mistake.

yellowboy90 @ 6/25/2014 4:45 PM
Are you guys trying to tell me Phil is doing something wrong? How dare you disagree with Nuncle Phil. Papa Zen has 13 rings so if this is true get on board!!!

Right?

We're stuck with Calderon until he expires in 2016. Nobody is going to want to pay $7M+ to a backup.
gunsnewing @ 6/25/2014 4:47 PM
$7m? Holy hell
gunsnewing @ 6/25/2014 4:52 PM
Hopefully this is a precursor to another move

he's solid and not ijury prone like tyson, jose has a higher IQ then felton, and jose shot 45% from 3, shane is going to be a very good player, the 1 game i saw him start, he was a blur, and got to the rim with ease, ellington is another 3 point threat who shot over 40% from down town

gunsnewing @ 6/25/2014 4:53 PM
Nice we need a young pg with real speed
Michael6835 @ 6/25/2014 4:57 PM
What does this do to the salary cap and the ability to sign someone this year?

With Melo opting out (23 mil) and tyson going (15 mil) they should be under the cap no?
Should be able to sign a free agent around 8-10mil - at least thats what i read somewhere.

They can still sign melo for whatever, because he's already on NY.

the CBA is confusing.

Listen dudes Calderon no star is TWICE The guard R.Felton been here for 2 yrs what wrong with u guys?
We have no picks or trades for #1PG's

And a healthy Shane Larkin (recall college) is touted potential as better ceiling to run a team than Calderon &Feltom combined.

Thus this Phil move is to give Melon something to ponder on new look of team, and possible playoffs.

What ha think Mavs. And Dirk and Jose did vs Champs Spurs, tough series against the best. At least PG Calderone passes and gets Assists

yellowboy90 @ 6/25/2014 5:00 PM
Calderon is Steve Kerr lite. You are basically adding a year and 3M to Feltons contract. He is a better player so that's not too bad. Dalembert contract has a team option on it so they can erase his salary or keep him.

Who know what kind of player Larkin is.
