Damjan Rudez | Forward
Team: Indiana Pacers
Age / DOB: (28) / 6/17/1986
Ht / Wt: 6'10' / 201
College: Croatia

comparable to Gordon Hayward with less athleticism but very good handle/ability to penetrate off the dribble/Peja Stojagavic/Turkelo, Mike Millerhis shot is Novak 2.0 and off the dribble + jump shot's, 50% 3pter in Europe

At the 1.1m, that would be a complete steal

If they make a swing for Rhondo and keep Lance, with a hungry HIBBERT, that is pretty damn tough

No one else, likes this move by the Pacer's?
I think they found a gem considering his skill sets, size, and contract

He is a sharp shooter, that can play with and off the ball, a very good handle especially for his size, quick first step, 6-10 and looks strong *is a man not a developing boy entering the NBA*
Looking back at players like Novak, compared to players like this and Danny Green, that extra skill set or skill sets, changes the entire ability of the player and more importantly the entire TEAM
At 1.1m and costing NO DRAFT picks, I think this is easily one of the easy steals of the entire year

On paper, move over OKC the CLippers are the second best team in the West. Clips just picked up Spencer Hawes who I think is a perfect fit for them because he can play with Griffin as a 5 and Jordan as a 4. My goodness. If they pick up old man Peirce as a Diaw type(minus the D) I see them making a run. IF CHris Paul can't make it over the hump(WCF) this year my goodness

The funniest thing about this offseason was Tyson and Felton thinking they would actually help the Mavs pitch to melo. The fact that Melo knew of the trade for weeks and it went through should have told them that he did not care much for them as players. If Melo did not want them traded they would not have been traded.

I agree, Hawes is a very good stretch 4/5 that is very good role player
More importantly he FITS in with their schemes, lineups, and rotations
However, CP3 needs to now find a new pupil to develop, which shouldn't be hard with the success Bledsoe/Collison have been rewarded

Hawes isn't a flashy player or big name by any means but like his contract, value

If Houston lose out on Bosh and Melo, they're screwed- will have had to trade Lin and a pick for nothing, will have to pay out for Parsons, limiting future scope for signing a max player. They should have picked up the 3rd year of his contract, giving them max room next offseason.

Honestly, if I am the knicks I would try to get in on a 3-way deal in order to get an asset to for taking Lin contract and paying him $15M. The knicks need future second rd picks so why not try to pull in Lin for the expiring contracts the knicks have.

I don't know. Not sure that it ends pretty for Lin where ever he ends up.

Sorry if I missed this from earlier - but doesn't it look like LeBron wants Bosh gone:

Hawes has a disgusting .069 WS48 for his career. Arches a brow.

Yeah, I saw that but I think in this role he will fit well not being ask to be a starter or a top contributor. This is not like Bargs where he doesn't rebound, pass, or defends. He should gel in that line up and if he doesn't well then there is no hope.

We will see. Do not have high hopes for him though. CP3 def has a lot of pressure on him next year.

I don't see a Melo-Wade-Lebron trio as a threat. That Chemistry might not add up.

Kobe-Melo-Pau-Randle I don't think can work unless Nash is dumped. There is nothing. Randle is unproven and Kobe is an ass.

Melo to Chicago has lost much of its luster in the media but seems to be the best team for Melo for next year.

I love the idea of Lebron in NY next year but too many things have to happen. The idea of him back in Clev is a good one.
Bosh in Houston makes sense as long as they can keep Chandler.

Fans are calling them attention divas but NOTHING CAN HAPPEN BEFORE JULY 10TH.
Melo and Lebron's decisions will start the domino effect.

Wade would probably move to the bench to stagger playing alongside each player so everyone can rest but there would always be a top 2 on the floor. Surround them with shooters and rebounders.

Nalod @ 7/7/2014 9:09 AM

Worthy of my own thread idea.

Lebron leaves Miami. Buh-Bye. Where you ask? He boils it down to Lakers, Cavs and Knicks.

Stay with me.........

Because Riles is in a pickle he needs a starphuch for one year. He needs a Name. He needs Amare..............Sign and trade Amare for Lebron.

Riles loses Bosh at the same time so he has a ton of room. He signs Deng. HE can at least parade a core of Wade, Amare, Deng. THat core could compete for the 8th seed and Riles can sell the future and say what a great job Sprolestra did!!!

What drives this is Lebron is leaving. Riles don't have to take back Amare, and Lebron can go to Cleveland. Riles can get a good deal from Clev but they don't have to deal with Miami, all they need to do is dump Jack. BTW, he would be more productive for Miami than Amare, but not the starphuch. Stat can go on about being back to form, leading the team to playoffs, etc.

This is not a "dark horse", its just a conceptual "STAB IN THE DARK".......

Nalod @ 7/7/2014 12:43 PM
Hoopshype rumor mill is very quiet this morning.

Philly would do well to keep Lebron out of Cleveland. If they can get Lebron to knicks they will accomplish two things:

Knicks likely cooked inside of 3 years when Philly could have its emergence and.....

Wait for it.......

The headge fund dudes that own Philly sell them for a nice killer profit!!!
Ratings with Lebron in NY will boost league revenues including leverage for new TV deal. Having Lebron in Division means more sellouts and high ratings for Philly Cable and thus higher ratings.
Emerging team shows a growth line that would be impressive.

Its not personal, its business.

Nalod stretching here presenting with a different angle. Owners look at advanced metrics called a balance sheet!!!
