I think he stays now. He is loved in miami

Should make a public apology, IMO, after James' essay. Then a big hug in a photo op.

almost, if not entirely, makes up for departure and the crap that went with it.
You have to respect how much he has grown since then and he really has achieved a lot - 4 straight finals, 2 championships. Now he is going back to Cleveland to resurrect their franchise. Its huge.
I am not a big fan of Lebron but I definitely respect him more after the past few years and now this.
The only question now is if LBJ's contract is going to be of longer duration than Magic Johnson's was. Is part ownership legal under the new CBA?

Winning 1 title with the Cavs is worth 3 more with the Heat.
Im kind of happy for Cleveland. It also shows how good of player Lebron is. I mean he basically carried that team to be contenders. He leaves and they become a lottery team every year and now they have irving wiggins. Worked out good for them despite the rough 4 years

if you got paid by a huge company to follow axl rose, wouldnt you do it?
Axl '91 or Axl 2014?

I would respect Melo if he went to the Bulls, its not like going to the Heat with LeBron there. His rep would still take a hit if he followed up this movie of the week ending with LeBron and the Cavs, and bailed.

Now that you put it that way not a bad gig!

I now remember how much I disliked Cleveland during the LeBron years. Fortunately my enjoyment from watching Miami suffer grossly outweighs that.

If melo went to the bulls for less it would show that he is serious about winning right now. Personally i like the youth movement so getting mcdermott and first rounder sis intruging to me. However if melo tells Phil he wants to come back for a lot less in order to help the Knicks build better around him i will give him props

I think it does more than that. It shows he is stepping up and taking accountability for the past. I really liked his interview after the game 4 lots to the Spurs as well. He dado he had to do more, did not point fingers at anyone at all. He is showing a high degree of maturity.
This is amazing and really good to see
I have no problem with Melo getting his money in NY. We only need one more Max level player to make this team a contender in the East. The rest of the team should be built from Draft picks and other young developed players. This is how you manage the cap. It's not realistic to have 3 Max players. Just build your team right and you can develop your own co stars and for much less.
Very heart felt letter by LeBron. Good move by him. Good for Ohio. Go Knicks.

Puts pressure on Anthony.
James is getting the $$, but he was most likely going to get another chance at a title if the big three came back and Riley fine-tuned the Heat roster.
As you said, you can respect Anthony if he takes less to go to Chicago in a S&T with the Knicks, or if he works out his contract with the Knicks to take less than Max so we can sign another star. If he simply demands the Max from Phil and we are somehow limited in roster flexibility because of that I will be pissed off.

I dont wnat 3 max players. Id rather have a deep younger team. If Im Melo i dont need 129 million. 5 years 100 million is a fair deal and will help the team and Phil in building around him

But the music in '91 was pretty epic

Completely agree. Same goes for if Melo wins 1 in NY as opposed to multiple in LA or Chi.

Exactly. Thats the only point i've been trying to make through thsi whole process. It doesnt mean i dislike melo or dont wnat him on teh Knicks it simply means its will benefit everyone in the knicks organization(including melo) if he takes less and we have more flexibility to sign better talent. I mena lest be honest melo can build a mansion out of %100 bills so taking less wot hurt him
