Splendid. There ya go -- "Bucks drawing interest." I know the Bucks showed prior interest in him when he was a FA--I think they may have even offered him a contract. For JR, with all the nonsense he pulls and his inconsistent game, he should feel flattered the Bucks want him...I read somewhere last night that they might be trying to move OJ Mayo. JR works on that team with or w/o Mayo. Even with Mayo they have very little depth at that position...You know Phil had to have discussions about Ilyasova already with Hammond. It'd be a great trade for us. Hopefully Phil's not letting little things hold this up--including Tanasis or Early--those guys are 2nd round picks, unknown quantities and flat out replaceable. Get this done -- Ersan Ilyasova would be a good fit here. If it's centered around JR & Pablo, absolute no-brainer for me.

I am drawing interest from my bank too. what's the big deal?
Jr Smith was just on first Take.
Talk about Tyson's mom being a distraction for Tyson
A lot of confusing among the team about the scheme
Said he and Melo have been doing 2 a days in the gym since April.

Is that why Tyson was missing games last spring?

Yea... Remember all the personal reasons he missed games? That adds up. I wish him well. Standup guy. Knicks needed to go in a different direction
JR has the most capacity for improvement given his talent level and the new system. If he plays anywhere close to his '12-'13 level he's worth a lot more than he's being paid too. I think you have to be somewhat careful about moving him. If Jax thinks there's no changing his stripes, than fine, but but I'd be wary of moving him for a guy with potentially lower upside that adds to our salary cap situation.
Carl Landry is a perfect fit for the team and I want that to happen
Anyway no one has answered my question of what exactly is this source? Looks like a bunch of kids running a sports website?

Should we all put together a bunch of stupid NBA rumors on ultimateknicks.com and then tweet them to see if they spread? I think we have similar credentials. We all seem to like sports too...

I checked out a couple of other knick msg boards and they all have the same source and almost 90% of the posters are questioning the source.

we should do that, follow each other, and re-tweet the original tweet. then use the ad revenue for uk.com Knicks tix
yayy finally some interesting news!!!! trade him
I was playing like a person who didn’t want to be there, not looking as focused as a person who should be,” he said.
Before the season, while recovering from knee surgery, he was suspended for five games due to a positive marijuana test. Once he returned to the court, Smith was abysmal for two months, shooting 32.8 percent in November and 36.8 percent in December, far off his career field-goal percentage of 42.5 percent.
“I’m not going to make any excuses for myself, but knee surgery is a tough thing to come back from,” he said. “I didn’t expect to be [back to] where I was.”
As the season wore on, discord engulfed the team. Smith alluded to a rift between Raymond Felton and Tyson Chandler.

“We had a lot of confusion going on with what we were going to do, with schemes and stuff,” Smith said. “Whenever you have your point guard and leading defender [not on the same page] — a lot of pick-and-roll situations we weren’t agreeing on, and that right there will kill you. That’s the toughest play to guard in basketball. They were a part of it, but I can’t blame it [all] on them because there were another three people out on the court.”
Smith said personal issues affected Chandler’s mood. As the Knicks continued to struggle, Chandler became openly frustrated. After the season, Chandler and Felton were traded to Dallas.
“Tyson was going through a lot of things with his mother,” Smith said. “It’s really hard to focus — I know if I was going through that with my mother, I wouldn’t be able to focus on basketball or anything else. In his defense, he had so much going on, and absolutely, frustration got the best of all of us.”
Mike Woodson was relieved of his duties after the season ended, but Smith absolved his former coach of the blame.
“I’ve been saying from Day 1, I don’t think it’s his fault,” Smith said. “If anything, we go out there and play. We have an obligation to go out there and play to the best of our ability with the most focus and intensity that we can. We obviously didn’t do that, so I can’t blame that on Woody.”
Among Smith’s reasons for optimism now is new coach Derek Fisher.
“I love Derek. I’ve known him since I was a rookie,” Smith said. “First day I met him until now, he’s the most consistently professional person around this business. I can’t wait to play for him.”
Smith is also encouraged — if not shocked — by Carmelo Anthony’s decision to re-sign with the Knicks.
Last yr's team was doomed from media day, training camp was a disaster, and JR was at the top of the drama, then came melo with FA BS, then came Amare with his Health, then came woodson with the who starts and the line up BS, then came Tyson breaking his leg, the came Udrih drama, then shump trades, then Metta drama, then Amare's not getting enough minutes, more Melo drama, then felton gets hurt, then woodsons job status, players gripping about his play book.
Every game thread I kept saying, this team with better then avg talent, just aint focus. woodson didnt have a steady line until feb/march..Your not going to win games without structure and leadership, cause when all the drama starts, and players start drifting doing their own thing, no ones there to restore order.
Were going to win a lot of games this season, It's going to be a special season, it's going to be hard to break this team up come next yr...Mark my words
Doesn't really make sense for them to trade him right now. They needed one's at draft time and didn't move him then...

Ha, I like the bit on the video when Raymond Felton is mentioned and JR just laughs!
I do think it's annoying that people are pressured to cover up their tattoo's so stupid people will find them more 'respectable'
The source of this rumor is bunk. JR's interview is a fairly honest take. He's not asking to be traded, but dude legitimately feels he underperformed last year and is embarassed by it. Good, that means he's motivated to change this year. I'll give him one more shot.

yes... have to say those comments were very refreshing. When you look at this roster a lot of improvement can come from within. JR was so good two years ago. If that was his regular play I would have no problem paying him. He was NOT good in the playoffs that year, but its great to hear he's in shape, excited for the changes and playing for Fisher. A healthy JR playing at a high level will be a huge bonus to start the season.
Trust: PHil's got this.
Humility: JR might be getting some zen. By going public with his performance last year he now owns it and prounounced to the world he will do better.
This a change of culture? Not a starphuch watershed moment but its better than as.s Tweets, traffic citations, dazed and staring at Ri-Ri's ass or crack induced 2am impulsive bike rides!
Seems the guy is trying to get his head on straight. Again. We'll see.
I maybe wrong, but trading now won't yield much. Naturally he can get worse and his value furhter lower. We only got what we get thru the media.
