He's not a triangle player, not a team player and not a smart player. I can't see him being effective playing system basketball.
Amare to Boston for Gerald Wallace, Jeff Green and Brandon Bass....
Bass is an expiring deal, Wallace and Green have an extra year.
Bass gives us an extra big off the bench. Jeff green is a legit NBA starter, Wallace is a savvy very that can do it all but nothing extremely well.
This trade allows the knicks to dump the excess guards and stash whoever they need to stash.
2015 is an after thought... Let's focus on 2016.

Why--we dont want the salary in 2015--thats not good salary with wallace at 10mm thats Isiah Thomas.
If we can play Amare Stuodemire with a defensive C off the bench I think his 12-5 in 22 minutes 55% will help this team. Let the team try to win as is--and if it cant by the all star break than tank and blow off any pieces we can for picks and retool with free agency trades and 2015 draft. And if were good and we can compete--than lets just go.

This trade doesn't really accomplish anything for me. Amare is a really good player when healthy.
What about David Lee from GS. Amare/Shump for Lee/Speights/Barnes
I'm not even sure this makes us better short term and we take on worse contracts? No thanks...

Look Rookie, read the posts. I never attacked anyone first. I told him the trade was stupid. Which it is, as your proposed trades were too. I am sure Phil agrees with me as far as NOT taking on additional salary for next year for secondary pieces. If you propose trades that are dumb then have a thick skin when someone tells you they are ridiculous or put me on ignore.

Well my first post was kinda out there but what about the tweak with Thornton, Green and Bass? We get a good piece in Green and still have money to spend next year.
I really don't see who we're getting, but if it's Gasol, we still can afford him.
