eh... if the Knicks lose the Cavs in the conf finals you *know* there will be guys saying (ok two guys) it was only because Paul George broke his leg lol.. cmon, you can see it cant ya?
When Melo has his moment, there will be more love. Bernard King was here only 2.5 years but knicks had a good playoff run one year and he had back to back 50 pt games. There was little hype when he came so his "Rebirth" as a player and emergence as a "Star" was in the Mecca.
Melo was bought in and MSG Moobititized the Starphuch! Problem was the trade depleted the roster. Problem was you had a ball movement coach and Melo is not that player. Problem was the bench was toast.
Nalod did not like the trade and was not a fan of Melo in Denver.
But.........
Despite his diva act with MDA the guy has played hurt, played at a high level and has been a solid guy so while Im not on the FishMike Love Train I am hopeful of the future.
If Phil is fine with Melo then its good enough for me. If he was not I doubt he would have came to NY or he would have tried to trade him or let him walk.
So I put my faith in the Zenmaster before the 3-4 Melohaters here.
I don't care what he has done in his career prior even as a knick, this is about moving forward. While I don't expect to transform Melo as he did Jordan, or groom him as he did Kobe I do expect a better Melo going forward. what can I say, you pay a guy 120 mil I don't see why he can't raise the bar.
Larry had his moment, Bernard has his moment, Ewing was a lifer, and even H20 has his!
