Sounds like this is a great way to watch games. Researching it and found a lot of info on clutchfans. I am not a rockets fan but clutchfans rivals uk as a fan site.
clutchfans site kicks our ass. They are the baddest out there.

Nah. They don't have the best kept secret on the net, slicksports.

If you don't mind me asking, what state do you live in? NBA League Pass blacks out local games but the teams themselves get to decide what's local. I do a lot of travel for my job so I bought it but I've worked as far away as State College, PA, which is a good 4-5 hour drive from NYC, and Knicks games were blacked out.
Yeah I live in queens, I had league pass for a long time before I switched to ballstream. I used a VPN to stream Knicks game to get over the blackout, but national games were still blacked out. Ballstream has none of that. Its just tv streams. I know it sounds like I'm advertising them, but I just feel like its one of those really well kept secrets. I only really watch tv for football and the Knicks, and this site made cable obsolete.

I don't think you need to be invited anymore, but here's my referral link if it doesn't work otherwise. http://www.ballstreams.com/ref/97

You could see people on /r/nba talk about ballstream, some people think its higher quality than league pass online.

Yup, the /r/nba comments convinced me.
Went through your referral link but it still asked me to submit my email address to request an invite. I should wait since the season is like 3 months away!
mintyfreshness33, i cannot get the plex app to work for me on my samsung wifi smart tv. is there a way to get in touch with you to troubleshoot this? i also tried the custom code app they developed for samsung and that didn't work either for me.

my LG tv has plex as its default video streaming app, so I ended up just adding the channel to plex from their directions and it worked fine...mostly. If the forums/troubleshoot on their sites don't provide enough answers, I don't think I'd be much help. You can always just hook up a laptop/tablet to your computer, which probably is your best option.
Shit, why would anyone want to hear Clyde with his stupid ass rhymes?

Could you put the plex software on your pc and then access the channel through a game system? We do this with playon and an Xbox on my son's tv. I also did this with a Wii but the picture wasn't as good.

Certain lines you don't cross. We don't speak of Clyde like that.

I believe so. I don't have Plex but I looked into getting it. It does say that it works with dlna devices like an Xbox on their website. I googled it because there are a lot of forums where guys talk about this stuff. I found this link. They talk about plex for Xbox and an app for Samsung smart tvs.

FYI...Roku 1 is on sale right now at roku.com. $10 off. Downside is that Roku 1 does not have all the Channels. It does not have youtube I believe and some other channels. but...we are primarily a Netflix family right now and it was going to my 3rd TV with only 1 hdmi so this is a good option for me.

Best Buy has it for 34.99. That is a great deal. I do think the roku 3 is worth the money and I am pretty frugal.

I got the roku 3 then took it back to get two roku 1s. I only really use Netflix and Hulu. I need to learn about how to use the roku for more than just those two things.

I wanted to get the roku 2 with the wired connection but I was a bit impulsive and didn't want to wait. I have the roku one also. There is a big difference in picture quality and at times there is no lag. My plan was to drop cable and go with o t a broadcasts, playon and roku channels. My wife loves cable so we haven't made the switch.

I actually have the Roku Streaming Stick as my first purchase. I love it. Picture quality is really good. We also have a PS3 and stream netflix there. Pic quality is a lot better.

Nice. I don't think our tvs accommodate the stick but I was wondering how it worked. Rokus are awesome.

It plugs into the hdmi port, its everything the roku 1 is but better because its smaller. The draw back is you have to have a hdmi port unlike the roku 1. If it wasn't for uptv and espn I think I would be of cable too.

I had the streaming stick and didn't like it. It was slow. Chromecast is a pretty good option if you want to Netflix or youtube. There are a bunch of casting apps that let you cast other streams/files.
I want to cut cable to see if I can do it. No other reason. My cable bill is low with triple play. Sports and news are big factors. I want ESPN and my wife wants CNN which makes it impossible to cut the cord. If I can figure out how to get the news streaming live, I will sacrifice ESPN.
