http://teamstre.am/1xtnv3hdidn't say anything about kobe coming to ny.....it was a random article about Melo saying he had no problem paying with kobe.
I think this so need to happen asap
I know you have mentioned this before but it aint happening nor should it. Kobe is a HOF but he is at the end of the line especially with recent injuries. Phil has no intention of doing this.

Phil isn't supposed to be here but he is.
Clyde Drexler was old as fuck when he got to Houston. Nobody thought he would leave Houston.
Gimme yoots, not HOFers waiting for the bus ride to the glue farm.
Dumb, idiotic?
If The Knicks traded Amare for him or some package of Bargs, Jr smith and he stayed healthy for the season and a half here in ny....
what is the negative in that? where is the dumb in that?
Kobe is still is Kobe. I'm trying to figure out how getting a healthy kobe for a 2 year run is dumb and idiotic.
Melo at the 3 and Kobe at the 2 is unguardable.
Jason Smith
Melo
Dalembert
calderon
kobe
That team competes with Chicago and Cleveland. I like our chances coming out the east with that group for 2 years.
It has zero effect on the future after 2 seasons. Even if Kobe gets hurt the future cap is still fantastic.
You may not want to do it that's fine. But don't say is idiotic or dumb because it really isn't and is a joke to even argue that it is.
I acknowledge there's alot if red tape to cut but the Lakers aren't a lame franchise. They might want to expedite the rebuild by trying to get another lotto pick this year. They might want the cap space for next year to start the rebuild. They might not give a shit about kobe breaking Kareem record. They are not a team that enjoys losing just because.

If you want yoots then you don't want to win championships. So don't complain about wins and losses if you want to go young
it won't be until 2016...jordan played for the wizards...kobe can play for phil in the twilight of his career and get nyc a ring...
This can be an insurance move if we cannot get any other real NBA player using dead weight of Stat/Bargs/JR contracts.
Kobe despite his age/miles is so much better that this 3 negative impact players and also so much better that our limited skills collection of SGs it is not even funny.
Birds eat fruit, then sh*t the seeds out. Its natures way of distributing seeds.
Not an insurance move, an assurance of starphucking! The chemistry of Kobe and Melo is a nice marquee to see but the qustion is not how fans see Kobe but the perspective of Phil.
Can we speak for his mindset? Not sure.
Its a tank job fellas. Might not like it but......
I want him now. Not in 2016

Kobe can be player-coach to learn Melo and other bbal-mind-limited dudes on this team to learn triangle.
Plus what is wrong with starphucking? Why not to watch a HOF player on the Knicks once in 20 years?

unless they are taking bargs, jr and sending over a pick, not sure it's going to happen.

Jeannie Buss's IQ is really that low? She's chirping about missing out on the Melo-lottery to her Zenboy, and she's going to just take Phil's garbage out for him so the only draw she ends up with is Linsanity Going Lame Part 2 and JRShoestrings West?

They got Pau Gasol the same way and almost got chris Paul the same way.
And is about the contacts more than talent.
I'll take Kobe in a heart beat at a discount. His injury history is going up with age. Best if he retires a Laker.

So the Pau Gasol deal was akin to trading for Kobe Bryant? Pau Gasol equals Grizzlie's Kobe Bryant? or do these names suggest (at the time of the trade) HOF player to you? Kwame Brown, Javaris Crittenton, Aaron McKie, the rights to Marc Gasol, 2008 and 2010 first round draft picks. She gave away crap (with the exception of Pau's brother) and some worthless first rounders and got a few chips in exchange. I don't see how this makes her stupid enough to take Bargs + anything for Kobe. Or for even Lin, for that matter. Now maybe if she was trading us the future rights to Nash's comeback season...
Maybe it's me, but aren't the expirings not all that relevant with the cap blowing up in 2016?

It's relevant no matter what since they can sign who they want. They can't do that with kobe taking up half the cap. Getting another lottery pick to pair with Randle plus money to spend looks like a better idea to me. Nobody is signing to play with kobe for a year.

Agreed.
If a trade of Kobe for STAT or Bargs (plus maybe a filler like Larkin) miraculously opened up, I probably pull the trigger.
It'd be an interesting dynamic with Kobe on the team and Fish calling the shots. Not sure what I'd expect out of that. Either way, I'll trust Phil's judgment on pursuing a trade and how much they'd give up.
I can't imagine Kobe retiring anywhere but LA though.

You think Kobe would give NY a discount
After what he just received from L.A. Pre Boom New CBA
This washed up better than he think he is Bum
Needs to break the All-Time scoring record and hang em up
That's all he's playing for right now
