Espn insiders are whispering it....
Kobe has been talking alot of smack too for no reason.
I'll throw out a conspiracy theory as well:
What if Kobe to ny was a done deal from the jump? Everyone shaked their heads when the Lakers, who were entering a huge off season, would just super max out Kobe for two years with no supporting cast around him. How would they sign any to free agents? Made absolutely no sense at all.
Phil kept saying they need Melo to take a pay cut then only make him give back a small percentage in the first year. Made no sense.
Amare and Bargnani are free agents. All of a sudden you notice Amare for kobe works straight up. Throw in Bargnani and they while their cap clean for next year. Oh now that makes sense.
Maybe Buss hooked up her fiancé with Kobe and hooked Kobe, Melo and the Knicks a 2 year shot at the title.

again??
enough with the kobe talk. How many threads do we need for this pipe nightmare?
Personally I dont care, but if you're married to the triangle at least have a mate that has experience. Phil wanted Pau...strike. he wanted odom, and Odom striked himself. Rumor has it Bynum will be considered....so why not Kobe?
I know one thing, this board will be like live fish thrown on the sand....flip flopping......"no we dont need him" to "oh my, Phil is determined to win!!!"
Only hit dogs bark.
Kobe looks really bad right now. He might look good with Melo in the triangle.
The Lakers don't have much on the court around him. I thought adding Boozer and Lin would help but both of those guys have played pretty poorly so far.

what the hell are you watching and how the hell do you judge players?
Let me guess ... the number of points they score?
Please do some research, did he have a good game last night??????

Didn't watch the game but looking at the box score it looks Jordan Hill played well. Nobody eles on that team did much based on a quick glance at the box score. Also, Nard may be referring to Kobe's health.

I can't wait for it to happen. At this point, it seems inevitable.

You're right. We should throw money at Kyle Korver to put us into contention.
And yeah, I thought Kobe had a pretty good game last night.
It would be a terrible move- I'm hoping having Phil marks the end of these types of moves.

Game AND health, moreso the health. His shot selection wasn't the best but he did a pretty good job at converting on those difficult shots. You put him on a team with actual help and I think this nonsense about him being a cancer comes to a stop.

Name me a player we acquired that has ever been at the level of play of a Kobe Bryant. You'll have a problem doing so because there has been none. Kobe is elite and a surefire HOF.

Is he Elite from this moment going forward? HOF is already in the bag.
DO we really think that Kobe on this team instead of Amare and Bargs makes us contend?
Cole? Sam?
Wasn't Kobe's deal signed long before Phil was a glimmer in Dolans Eye????
Kobe is like a very strong drink
A couple shots and fans get inebriated-liquored up beyond
Not allowing them to focus and assess what's taking place properly
Kobe looks like the usual Kobe who's on a downward trend
He's always been hella overrated

No, what Kobe is at the moment is not HOF material. But being a HOF'er is not simply isolated to your play; it includes a kind of pedigree and a nose for winning, which is something Kobe continues to demonstrate. After all, he was a key component for the Lakers winning 5 championships in the past decade alone, which is an inconvenient truth that guys like mreinman are trying to ignore/undermine. I find it ridiculous that they can look down at these types of accomplishments as a fan of a franchise who hasn't won a title in 40 years. That's all I was trying to get at. While Kobe may not be in his prime, he sure doesn't look far removed from it and should more than suffice as a 2-man to Melo.

His "hella overrated" evidently was good enough to produce 5 championships as a franchise player. 'Nuff said.

He's leading the Lakers to a lock
Losing season, while making the palyoffs might be a tough task
There's no need for them to be 0-4
They'll probably go 0-10, he's a horrible leader
Who needs a near Superstar talent to have a shot at anything
I don't want to hear anything about his roster
Lin had a crapola roster a couple yrs ago
And led us to a 9-1 stretch early in the season
Kobe might want to let Linsanity loose
It is not about the Kobe but about how much for Kobe.
Everything cost some $$$ and if team pays less that the value its cool, if overpays it sucks.
Last 20 years Knicks overpaid for almost every player. Time to stop it.

Ironically they have put up enough points to be 2-2. They actually scored 111 points in a loss. They dont defend or rebound the basketball at all, thus they are 0-4.
