Knicks · Tyson Chandler Sam Dalembart (page 3)

Come on now. If Tyson has an all-star season, all that means is he is a bitch who took a giant salary here and didn't work for it. He has no place in NYC. And Ray Felton is just the worst. Good riddance to both of them. It is not like we got nothing back, so come on now.

As are the Mavs to say the least

Their offense is like a well oiled machine

They don't run TRIANGLE either and haven't

For well over a decade and they done nothing

But kick out 50 win season after 50 win season

Tyson and Dirk are the only Mavs from their chip team

And most of the players have only played

With each for a year or two or not at all

The Mavs are my pick to come out the West

There's nothing Phil can say to me, to justify

Thinking Dalembert is a fit for the triangle and not Tyson

I don't care that he traded Tyson away, I care about his reasoning

Oh and don't look now but we have one of the

Worst offenses in the entire NBA

I think you should look now, because we are top 10 in assist, 16th in fg %, 12th in overall offense efficiency..

Are going to spend a little time researching before you just post what you think

88ppg<-Yuck

17th in FG%<-Yuck

12th in Turnovers<-Yuck

30th in FTA<-YUCKY UCKY UCK

23rd in PPS<-YUCK

22nd in FGA & FGM<-YUCK

Those are horrific numbers

It says our pace is trash and we don't maximize our possessions

The only things we're doing pretty well on

Shooting the 3 ball and hitting our free throws

Got anything else Alfalfa

We 22nd in TS%. Case closed.

You cant have a good TS shooting mostly long 2's.

Very few FTA's or 3PA's.

I really can't wait for Jose to fix this.

Are you serious? This was supposed to be a downgrade. The value always was Calderon, Larkin, and draft picks (Early). How can you possbily gauge this before even getting back the most important piece. Dalembert has actually been decent, and so has Larkin. So even without Calderon in the picture, your second sentence is not accurate at all.

the problem is that we are locked into Calderon and we did not pick up crack babys option.

So ... we are relying on Early?

I really like Early and was happy to be rid of Typhus ... lets see how it plays out.

I can see Calderon being around a long time. First as a stop gap floor general, later as a bench player and shooter. I think he opens some eyes when he starts getting burn

Me too, hopefully. People seem to be forgetting if we didn't do the trade, we would have been stuck with Feltons $4.5mil (no way in hell he'd ever opt out) clogging our cap while contributing nothing in 2015. Calderon adds an extra $3mil, but at least he contributes something and is a good team chemistry guy. Would $3mil have snagged us a better contributor in 2015? Not sure, but unlikely.

But Calderon is a keeper, a great fit for this offense, so what's your point? How are we relying on Early? We have a player who fits the system that hasn't played yet due to a minor injury. Clearly they will take their time getting him back.

hahahahahahahahahaha

we were actually dumb enough to give Felton $4.5mil

And we gave up the draft rights to Kostas Papanikolaou too (part of the Felton/Blazers trade). He ended up on the rockets and is looking like a nice player who would have been a perfect fit for the triangle.

Vmart @ 11/5/2014 12:05 PM
I don't want either.

Don't care about the 4.5 mil amount but there was no reason to give him or Jr or Novak contracts that run up to our 2015 cap space. I was hoping we would be able to dump them for 2nd rd picks if need be.

I remember when the trade happened I was

Like why would you give up assets

For a player who had a down yr and was out of shape

But several yrs down the road we see the rewards we reaped

We traded two prospects actually

http://espn.go.com/new-york/nba/story/_/...

In return, New York sent Jared Jeffries, via a sign-and-trade, and center Dan Gadzuric, whose deal is not guaranteed this season, to Portland. Also included in the deal was Kostas Papanikolaou, the Knicks' 2012 second-round draft pick, Giorgos Printezis and a protected future second-round draft pick.

We traded Papa John's and I'm hungry for Pizza

yellowboy90 @ 11/5/2014 1:15 PM
They are doing pretty much the same thing except Dal has only had 13 shots. The guy needs to cut his TOs and get back to his career shooting form.

Yes Vehemently.

A quinntisential product of Mike Dantoni's system for 3months. His skills sets fit that system. We saw the real Felton in Denver and Portland and still signed the fat bastard for $4.5m

All at the expense of losing Lin for nothing

Its kind of a quasi ? We gave up the better player in the frontcourt to get the better player in the backcourt BUT couldve we have kept what we had and signed an Aaron Brooks for 1.5mm for the year? This way we would not have that 7.5 on the books going 4ward. The big thing is the salary cap. Thats a max player between Jose and JR.

Lol your joking right? Tyson is the most over rated center in the league never averaged 10 PTS or ten reb a game . Terrible shooter, turnover machine, bad iq, can't dribble, didn't protect the paint, rebounds only when he wants to... Can't pass... Sammy is a huge upgrade just on the fact he can pass and block shots.. Tyson once in a blue moon had a two block game. Tyson took a mares pick and rolls which blew my mind .. Again can't shoot, can't dribble, can't pass, didn't average plus 8 rebounds or points. Turnover machine ..only plays when he feels like it ... Bad energy player.... I'd take Sammy 10 times out of 10 over Tyson flu chandler

Aaron brooks at $1.5mil on top of Feltons $4.5mil would mean we'd only be about $1.5 mil better off cap wise.

Okay, so then we'd be $3mil better off, but have to find a PG as well as a C, PF and SG

Tyson in a contract year is exactly the player you want!
Or at least trade him after his all-star year. We always sell low
