I have to take his side, that DOES NOT look intentional.
smackeddog @ 11/5/2014 1:38 PM
It doesn't even look like a big deal even if it was intentional
Dagger @ 11/5/2014 2:02 PM
He was pushing him, doesn't look like he was aiming for it. Also it's not like hitting him in the balls is going to create some long-term injury that will affect his play. No idea why the wizards are trying to get JR into trouble.
BRIGGS @ 11/5/2014 2:11 PM
Ridiculous if he is fined or suspended--I would go through the legal process with interest and attorney's fees and he would win.
jrodmc @ 11/5/2014 2:21 PM
Only JR could turn a bad clear out move into a back page incident. I guess it's best he left last night without commenting. That could only have made things worse.

On the radio last night, they just kept saying "Gee, Rice is still doubled over near half-court..."

smackeddog @ 11/5/2014 3:46 PM
Jr has been suspended for one game. What a f***ing joke the nba has become

Completely ridiculous suspension.

mreinman @ 11/5/2014 4:02 PM
habitual offenders are dealt with much more severely as expected

exactly..

I don't agree with it one bit, but repeated offenders get the harsh penatly, good thing were loaded at the position

MX25 @ 11/5/2014 4:15 PM
He CLEARLY swung his arm in that direction. Clear as day.
smackeddog @ 11/5/2014 4:21 PM
Looks like Tim Jr. is going to go on a chuckathon tonight!
fishmike @ 11/5/2014 4:23 PM

Im sorry... total BS. This is not suspendable

hard to tell what his intention was with the elbow ... leaning towards unintentional but not certain.

BigRedDog @ 11/5/2014 4:33 PM
JR suspended 1 game
StarksEwing1 @ 11/5/2014 4:36 PM
When you have a long rap sheet you dont get the benefit of doubt
JonsTintedTails @ 11/5/2014 4:36 PM
Can he appeal this? I think that's a bad call by NBA to suspend him unless the Wiz and league know something we don't know.

So he swings his arm that low for what reason? He was clearly trying to hit him. Stop making excuses for him

TeamBall @ 11/5/2014 5:08 PM
So did Tony Allen not get in trouble because he personally apologized and sent him an autographed basketball?
EnySpree @ 11/5/2014 5:09 PM
He was trying to get an advantage. Players do that all the time but with a open hand push on the inner thigh. He used a closed fist and caught him in the junk. He gets what he deserves. Guy takes himself down every time. Good luck trying to trade him as if it wasn't hard already. What a coincidence!

A normal person would just swing the off arm to slap Rice's hands away if JR felt particularly crowded. Maybe he was trying to elbow him in the gut?
Either way, dumb move.

Enjoy the bench, JR! Hopefully you can cheer THJ into some defense tonight.
