And for the record, I've never thought you were dangerous, dk7th.
A bit fixated perhaps, but hey, as your new patron defense attorney can attest, you serve a purpose here. You make us homers cheer all the more for our favorite soul-less, greedy, dopey jumpshooting douche bag.
And his 15 selfish, heroball assists in the last two games.those weren't real assists
huh?
They are the "cover up" type
Like a crime offender who goes and robs a familyWhen they are away on vacation, while in the home pillaging
He realizes as he looks around, they are on a leave becauseThere has been a recent death in the family
So with the Family jewels and heirlooms in hand getting into the getaway vehicleHe decides to make a phone call[from a newly activated iphone 6 left behind by a family member]
He phones Piccolo's Florist and places an order for3 dozen roses, tulips, and 3 bushels of lilacs to be delivered
Expressing anonymous half-hearted condolences5 days after his grand larceny home invasion, when he expects the family to be back
Why pay attention to the major offense, because he demonstrated human compassion
You use some of the weirdest metaphors I've ever read. Like literally wtf haha
So for this season, Carmelo Anthony (!) has more assists (22) than Kyrie Irving and Dion Waiters COMBINED (19).
Yikes! Hard times in Cleveland

I still think they need to jettison one or two out of Irving, Waiters and Thompson.

Thompson is a client of Rich Paul, who is also Lebron's agent/friend, so I doubt it will be him. Thompson is turning into a very good big off the bench in the mold of Taj Gibson.

thats just plain silly. don't lose credibility for valid critiques with posts like this.what we'd like to see is him getting 8 assists even if his shot is relatively on. He should not just pass because his shot has zero chance of going in.
He had many nice passes that his initial intention was to pass, not just "all the doors are closed" passes.
You make a lot of valid points in your posts generally but this is straight ridiculous. Come on, man.Never been a huge Melo fan but it seems as if he's passing more this season. Let's see if he keeps it up all year. IF the guy were to average 4 or more assists, Id be pretty happy.
No what I said is spot onLet's break Carmelo's assists* down in categories
- Phantom Assist
- Regular Assist
- Hockey Assist
- Suicide Assist
- I'm Team Playing Assist
- All The Doors Are Closed Assist
*Denotes Assist are usually tied his shooting performances
- Phantom Assist
Usually occur when he's on fire, NBA Jam mode no volume around 0-1Not looking to pass at all a hired desert eagle absolute high usage
Shooting 47-60%[16-33fg or 18-30fg]
- Regular Assist
Usually take place in the flow of the game, never high volume thoughAround the 2-4 range and coincide with average shooting usage 12-16FGA/gm
Shooting around 42-48%[5-12fg or 7-15fg]
- Hockey Assist
Usually take place when all other teammates are on, or contributingTowards a team win while he struggled or didn't play well throughout, average usage
Shooting around 30-40%[6-18fg or 6-16fg]
- Suicide Assist
Usually his bread and butter type, these happen in almost any given situationMore prevalent when he's engaged and the defense is staunch, immersed in the mano-a-mano comp
With the defense being stingy and his crave to jackup shotsChews up the clock on several possessions clamped down
He'll decide to pass the grenade to teammates make or miss with high usage
Shooting around 35-45%[9-23fg or 13-28fg]
- I'm Team Playing Assist
Usually happens after he's had a bad stretch of games, the media kind ofComing down on his play if he's not trusting teammates trying to do too much
Turning down shots, trying to play some point forward, low usage
Shooting around 38-46%[4-11fg or 6-13fg]Last But Not Least
- All The Doors Are Closed Assist A.K.A. Cover Up
Usually takes place when he plays worst than maggots chitting on cow dungTeam is getting blown out, played a major reason throwing team out of sink
But knowing the boxscores are a measuring stick to expose, gotta look good somewhere must get stats elsewhereAround 6 or more, while playing against inferior competition with high usage
Shooting around 20-30%[5-23fg or 9-28fg]
I have posted in a lot of online Knicks forums and this has to be the dumbest thing I have ever read.

Shooting around 20-30%[5-23fg or 9-28fg]Ok, you win. Assists are good except when Carmelo doles them out. Got it.
Ok I see you're asking for a restroom pass
After you catch wind I was getting ready to call
On you for further breakdown for formulas in basic principlesNot my fault you and the caravan have established a pattern here
When Melo plays like absolute hot garbage simmering overA whale that burst on the beach shore
You guys want to look at stuff like his ast or hockey astOr the rebounds he grabbed or how hard he cheers on the bench
When he plays well none of you riding camels across the desertMention the above because they are sparse, far few inbetween, disappearing acts
The excavating of Melo's productivity in hellacious game moments is comical at bestThis is what you think $124mil is worth or leaves you to resort too
First of all, I don't expect you to know exactly where everyone stands on the Melometer on this site and I'm certainly new here and not as prolific or as well known a poster as some but believe me when I tell you that I have always been pretty one sided when it comes to Melo in that I've NEVER been a big fan of his. I thought the Knicks shoulda let him walk and said at the time it was a mistake. I hoped for a total rebuild etc etc. So spare me the 10 lines of iambic pentameter accusing me of being a Melo fanboy just because I pointed out how ridiculous your assertion was. Ok?
