I can't believe how nonchalant this $100 million player can be when he is on the court. For a dude as talented as Melo, it is absurd how poorly he approaches the game. If your shots are not falling, conventional wisdom should tell you to attack the basket, get fouls, and shoot some freethrows. Instead he kept taking unbalanced jumpers and continued to bail out the opposing team. I don't know if Fisher has pointed that out to him, if not, he is not suited to coach this team as I thought.
Since no one has the gal to step up to WaterMELON, the media needs to shine the light on the coaching staff's ineptitude in that department.
Further, why is our ofensive rebounding so poor? As soon as a shot is released, at least two Knicks (preferably a guard and a center) should be designated to crash the board.
nice .... start a bash melo thread when he actually played a good game on both ends.
Hope the mods see this bigoted crap.

You called that a good game? Do you actually know how many points he gave to Milsap?

probably 8 points in a short stretch. Milsap is a tough player and will get his.
Melo played excellent defense this game but carry on
These threads are obnoxious.
We lost this game at the C and PG positions. Look at the differential. Melo played well

I am one of Melo's biggest fans, I just find his desire to be great putrid. He is way too cool if you ask me; even Clyde referenced his lack of aggression during the game.

PG play was decent, but the same can't be said for the Center spot.

Then lose the "waterMELOn" tag. Poor choice of words. other ways to get your point across.

pg play was decent? Really? Barry Lakins kidd or barry's daddy prigs? Which one was good?
Media crucifix not needed. The games speak for themselves.
I'd rather them lose running the triangle than abandon it.
This will develop into something meaningful.

Since when is watermelon considered to be an Offensive word?

I thought Larkin did ok, he did not turn the ball over and was able to come up with a couple if steals. He did not do a good job guarding Shroeder, but Shroeder mostly got his points in The paint against our bigs.

Larkin was better than prigs (who I like but was awful) but he was not good.
We have horrible guards and zero guard penetration

problem is they are losing while NOT running the triangle
Losing is depressing. I can't wait for this team to once again be relevant, but this roster is not that balanced , because it has too many one on one players.

This is true. The triangle is not being consistenly run. Most of the players on the team run around like headless chickens. Melo did not always do the right thing in terms if the set offense, but I was a few rows behind the basket and saw him trying to direct traffic a lot, which most people on here asked for today. Either it wasn't on TV on people are choosing to neglect it. In addition, many times when Melo had the ball in the post the rest of the team abandoned the triangle and hung him out to dry. Phil said he'll dispose of people not buying in. Melo's stats and actions in the game said otherwise. This thread is pointless.

The roster has no perimeter shooters and poor rebounders. The selfish basketball and other stuff is getting played out. If you can't make a shot outside of 17ft in the NBA or box out and rebound, your not gonna win very often.

He played a very good game 7 assists and 9 rebounds. Only thing I would say is he took 7 or 8 shots to many. If he drove to the hoop he might of gotten to the line more which would have reduced his shots taken.
Side note 5 shots for their best interior player.

I am happy to hear that he is now directing traffic when on the court. Butt, That still does not excuse him for not attacking the basket as he should.
