He just made one of the best catches I have EVER seen
screw Melo and the knicks
we have a new star in NY
He is special
He and Cruz are going to be quite a starting tandem next year
al michaels just said that it was the best catch that ALL of us has ever seen
It was insane. As a Jets fan I'm outraged that we didn't get a talent like him.
the giants going no huddle all game.
Did we have to wait until coughlin is on his death bed to do this?
That catch was simply incredible
What makes it so crazy, they were just showing
Him warming up before the game practicing making those catches
It was a catch for the ages

That happens when an organization isn't ran properly
Fortunate enough the Jets have a wonderful chance again this yr
To get a young premium talent like him
In Amari Cooper, these are the kind of guys
That change the future course of a franchise for yrs to come
That catch was so good f5 almost said how great it was on the same line.
Lottery balls for the Giants!
not really but great nonetheless!
That was sick.
Is he free to play on the Knicks on days off?
Awesome catch but Dez ruins the night.
Great catch, but he does not make it without the gloves they are allowed to wear these days.
In my mind, because of all the restrictions they put on defenders, and in this case, the technology they now use to design receiving gloves, we are watching a period where you can say that the pass and catch numbers being produced are on PEDs, and it is not even fair to compare the numbers from this period with those of previous times.

I agree with you, when compared to the old time greats....But theres still a long history of football players wearing the same gloves for years. Still doesn't take away from that catch......Especially for us 6'0 and under dudes!

This is a reach as far as the catch
You can argue inflated numbers because of game rules
But the catch is nasty as it gets
Since you bring up old times remember the old heads
Used to put Stickem on their hands
Guys like Lester Hayes

Good point. I play football and wear receivers gloves. I rarely drop anything that is in catching range - I honestly don't see many better at catching it... But Without gloves I am below average, but that is more due to small hands. So, though I see your point, being blessed with large hands is almost like having gloves (at times), lol.
I imagine with technology getting better, they might limit the "stickiness" of these gloves. In other words, not getting them stickier before each play. I tried the Cutters gloves but they are of a different kind of rubber and too thick and I like the thinner feeling gloves. (no pun
Regarding his catch, even though gloves greatly helped, you need to pin that ball EXACTLY where he did and that takes lots of practice.
Looks like the Giants are in for another nice pick this year. Manning is great, but really inconsistent. You guys think if a stud QB is within their range they make the move and trade Manning?
Are there any stars at positions of need that could help the Giants turn things around? Thx in advance.

Caught it with three fingers!!!!
Gloves and crazy strong hands.
As a Jet fan I wanted odell beckham so that was a great pick for you guys. he missed the early part of the season but has been having a real good rookie campaign. One thing about the Giants is that they seem to strike gold on real good recievers constantly. Even Cruz was undrafted I believe and we all know how he turned out. I know Jerry reese gets a lot of grief but he has helped bring 2 super bowls in 6 years and it could be worse you could have John Idzik

Getting ODBjr was s steal, but Zach Martin is having a Pro Bowl rookie season. Giants need to focus on the O-line and the LB position in the upcoming draft. Eli has one more chip to win for the Giants before he gets put out to pasture. Now he has the weapons to get it done, he just needs some protection and a defense on par with the type the Giants usually have. We're almost back to contention.
BTW, that was the single greatest catch (difficulty wise) of all time. He did it with three fingers, nearly parallel to the ground. Amazing concentration and grip strength. Mind-blowing.
