Knicks · Did you watch the TV special Carmelo's production company made...about Carmelo? (page 4)

3. Melo never did anything. He lead his team to an NCAA tournament championship.
4. Melo Lovers don't think he should have taken the money. $74,000,000 vs $120,000,000. No brainer. I think He took the money. I don't hate him for it. Be stupid not to. Be stupid to not pay it and let hiim walk for nothing after we stripped the team.
5. Melo is loved by all except the Hater. Not true, centrist don't buy the starphuch, and sombers are suspicious. If you dispute these relgious facts you will feel their fury, like pissing on the Quran in front of a bunch of armed Sunnies.

You're out of your god damn mind. I have only called out players I don't like & the fact that this teams sucks & the players basically want to be reality tv stars.
After I do that, the sycophant, ball lickin', pom pom wavers come out & say
'how dare you talk about my favorite player like that. He is a god to me, you're a whiney bitch woman!'
You idol worship these players. It's sickening.
Give me a winning team with identity and character and I will accept Melo on it.
Or any one else for that matter.
Melo is irrelevant, the team is.
Knicks waste so much more money on players so much worst that Malo so this 124 mils story is a joke.
And after sucking 15 years to suck another 4 is not something new.
Celebs like Melo are junk people because being a-holes make them money, big money.
So the dude is just a good businessman and deserve props for his brand.
Romans need bread and entertainment. So bring it up!!!

I agree with the red part.
As far as the blue part - His best business decision is to spend some money to hire 'good business men'.
I don't even care about that, just try to do it under the radar a bit
& show some common fucking sense. That tv special totally turned me off & I didn't even have to see it, just the commercials for it.

Why do you try to protect him like you want to bend him over & suck his hole?
Go fuck yourself.
Again with the emotion...like a woman. How is any of what was included in the documentary controversial? Did you expect Melo to lie and have him pretend that the Knicks were/are the better run franchise?
It's humorous to me how people love to talk out of both sides of their mouth. The same people that argue New York is a top flight destination for players are the same dudes mad at Melo for capitalizing on the only thing that makes it attractive i.e. the business opportunities. So why criticize him now? It's not like he's loafing with his play. The team around him just sucks.

Here we go again.
IF you call me a woman, I tell you to go fuck yourself. That is the extent of the emotion I have for this topic. I'm not being hysterical when I say IO think Carmelo is being a dickhead putting that crap out. It isn't a big deal to me, just how I feel about him & how I vent towards this suck team whose players have other things on their minds other than getting out of this damn hole the team is in.
Basically, I called out a player.
You called me a woman, I say shut the fuck up you dumb cunt. & we move on. or not.
I like jrrod's (sic) idea but not on a basketball court.

I think very few people here actually hold beliefs to that extreme. I'd say I'm disappointed he didn't wait til free agency in 2011 and that needed $124 mil for this contract. And it does impact how I think of him. "Hating" him is too strong a word though.

Again, what the fuck are you talking about? You don't know my opinion on NY so I'll give it to you.
New York as a sports town is the worst. No one comes here to play ball & the Garden means more to the visiting players that want to light it up & have a career night than the players that do 41 games a season here. They like being on the road better.
You idol said so himself!
New York City lives on a reputation that has nothing to do with sports. Great City though.
I like it.
as many times as I can.

Like I said before, the dude isn't loafing on the court and is trying to win (which I can't understand since we need to tank). Unfortunately "trying hard" isn't enough, which is why some of the greatest players of all-time have missed the playoffs in their prime e.g. Kevin Garnett, Charles Barkley, Chris Webber, Dirk Nowitzki, Dwayne Wade, Kobe Bryant, etc. Melo is no doubt a flawed player but to pretend that all this is his fault would be ignorant.

Every Knick fan has uttered that bullshit in spite of the fact that we are a poorly run franchise. So I've assumed that their reasoning has more to do with the business opportunities in New York. Because why would someone want to play on a fixed salary, in a venue where the tax rate is higher than any other city, save LA?
If that isn't the case, what you are saying is that the totality of New York (business+basketball) is a net negative compared to other destinations. If that's the case, why are you blaming Melo for recognizing that fact and only sticking around for the money?

I can ask the same - why do you take is so personally that I take it so personally?
I haven't posted it over & over, I made my feelings known & then had to defend it from you since you were so offended.
I'll try to be clear. I don't hate him personally - I just think he is skilled yet soft & I don't appreciate players that are so focused on making their name into a 'brand'.
If you want to be a 'brand' go for you, best of luck & go fuck yourself.
I made a few posts saying I don't like the way Carmelo goes about his business & that I don't like him much & you are trying to make is seem like I'm on a crusade.
I don't care, we can go back & forth.

I don't care about that! God bless him, make as much a you can, Carmelo!
But I guarantee that show did more to mock him than to help his image.
I really had no problem when he got here, but after hearing that sickening Nauseating 'I'm coming home' song on every MSG commercial I should have knew what was coming next.
He seems kind of wishy washy to me & I have grown not to like him since he has been here because of that. AS SOON as I said that, I was attacked.
Fine lets post away.

What I read daily on this once great forum is a constant barrage of hate and bitching about one guy on the roster and thats Melo.
I would say 95% of posts in Melo's "defense" are really people like me saying the stuff being posted about him is utterly ridiculous
Its the same 4-5 guys over and
over
and
////over
again spewing the same crap.
Guys like DK who have been kicked off other forums for spamming Melo hate in every thread and every post. It takes away and has pretty much ruined what was really once a great community. Read Hector's comments. The dude is spiraling over a documentary he didnt watch. Its retarded.
