Knicks · Watched Kentucky again (page 3)

When I see guys move like that at his size and so effortlessly, it can be something special.
Dude, you beat me to the punch. I need to watch a few of his games; this kid appears to be a special player. He plays with an uncanny motor. He is perhaps a more athletically gifted Tyson chandler. How tall is he?
His poor passing and inability to make shots are alarming. He is a freak of nature

I think Stein "may" end up as a solid 3 pick in the next draft. There is much much time left--but if you say upside in a player come on Stein is up there. We wont see Towns upside because he will be drafted with a body that wont be mature like Stein's. Im a fan of Johnson too--hes under rated. Its unbelievable 1 CBB team has three lottery big men. Most NBA teams dont have 3 lottery big men LOL/ Look at us Dalembart a stiff from Seton Hall who was picked 27 Aldrich was Pretis only bad lottery pick and hes not terrible but hes not good. we dont have any other C's.

He reminds me a lot of what Michael Olowkandi was when he was drafted. I know I'm going to get reemed for this but I was wondering if I was alone.
Olowakandi played well that one contract year!

The rebounding is there but you're rolling the dice on a lot of other elements.
excellent passer, shot blocker and handles the ball well for his size. Array of post moves and finishing ability, efficient and great knack for engulfing rebounds
I've seen him play quite a bit. Agree on the passing and rebounding. Will be a decent shot blocker, limited by mobility. The rest of his offense may or may not translate.
Hey code--who do you like the best out of Ron Baker Jerian Grant and Tyler Haws? Obviously not tier 1 guys but Im looking at secondary draft players from 27-35 as we need so much help from the guards slot. Also have you seen Zach Auguste play--he's an NBA player for sure--hes got quite some bounce for his size. We need so much help that Ive been following guys who we can acquire with cash late 1 early 2.
Hey Briggs, I think its interesting to look at the talent towards the end of the draft as well. Its an interesting group to pick from - I'd go with Ron Baker 1. Jerian 2 and Tyler 3. Who would you prefer? Auguste I think is ok - I project him as a mid-level back-up 4 - I could pass on him without losing too much sleep.

You know whats important about scoring in the low 1's 2's and undrafted--just look at the Spurs. While you might not find a star per se, you can find the guts of your team. Thats why the Spurs are so good. They sat in this position for 15 years and mined and executed. I'd throw Delon Wright into that group as well--he's got some Rondoish features. I think Rondo was a 25 pick--we bypassed him for Balkman I think.
I'd be happy if somehow we landed a second mid level first round pick this year and bought a 2 if a player slipped. We have so many holes and 75% of our roster is gone. If the players we may want to formulate a team with are there---I hope we are aggressive in that pursuit.

Agreed. Scouting skill is invaluable - it's like radiology - the tea leaves are more interpretable to some than others.

I think I'd take Grant first Wright second Baker third and Haws 4th. I don't think Auguste will be coming out but watching ND he's a guy who at 6-10 245 with that bounce--hes going to be an NBA player with some upside. One thing I like about these guys is the efficiency with how they play the game and then your talking about two PGs who are 6-5.

After his sophomore season you can see here how I mention Ron Baker as a low # 1 with Jerian grant

Ummmmm not this again. You named like 20 different players that were mostly 2nd round picks or UDFA's.
