I read this as STAT boasting about himself, not taking shots at Tyson. 3 words came off poorly: "supposed to be". I don't have a high level of expectation for what an athlete blurts out in the post game and definitely not looking for the deeper meaning.

We had fun out there a few times down the court
I did my best to challenge his tough defense and at times
I was aggressive enough to cause double teams to happen
But it was good to see and compete against Tyson
I wish nothing but the best for him and Dallas
I also saw Tyson flying like an eagle through our Amar'e led
Interior D catching like 3 lobs last night. Amar'e is a straight clown
No wonder this team is 5-22 we have pure grade A arse holes on this team

For example....I believe I can guard anybody on this board 1 on 1. And I doubt anybody can guard me 1 on 1.

If Amar'e averaged 20 points a game the rest of the season, is that a great achievement?
What if he also gave up 25 points a game? Isn't that like scoring -5 pts a game?
This stat should apply to all players that only provide offense, and nothing else.....

I always got the impression those two didn't get on. Also, while everyone pushed the Melo and Amare can't play together, I think Amare and Tyson were much more incompatible.

1. easy turnover opportunity
2. he does not/will not/cannot(?) pass out of the double, triple, quadruple teams.

Amare is a beast offensively giving the touches, Tyson is not a beast defensively and definitely not offensively. tyson is a solid player, but he can't guard no one 1 on 1 either, lets not forget slow ass hibert schooled his ass in the playoffs.
Tyson is a solid help defender, if he's playing with other solid defenders, but lets not get it twisted.
Amare has step up his defense this yr, 5 blocks one game, 5 steals the next, But the haters won't reconize it, they won't reconize that our overall defensive philosophy (let everybody shoot 3's just guard the paint)is so 90's. You remember the 90's when they were maybe 1 or 2 good 3 point shooters on a team, not 5 or 6 like it is in todays game.
Besides, if your not a stretch 4 your worthless on most teams
