Knicks · I NO LONGER WANT 2 C AMARE, JR & Bargnani (page 1)

Knicks1969 @ 12/28/2014 2:35 PM
For the remainder of the season, these dudes no longer need to dawn the orange & blue uniform. We already know they are not good fit, so start the youth movement already. Bring back the Nasty, give him some minutes to familiarize himself with triangle. While at it, stop waisting time with the Shump experiment.
knicks1248 @ 12/28/2014 2:49 PM
whats the use, we have a rookie coach who's 5 yrs away from being a real coach..Would you go away for a month and leave your 13 yr old to watch your 4 yr old, that's exactly what we got going here.

At this point Fisher is already the worst coach the franchise has ever hired, how Can I evaluate players on this roster if they are being lead by the worst coach in franchise history. I mean he's already devalued the entire roster by putting them in different roles every game.

The defense makes MDA look like pat riley caching the knicks, and the players have all but gave up on the triangle, they only do it in spurts to give fisher a little bit of control. They set up the triangle and abandon it on the first initially pass.

JR is a utter mess and will need 3 yrs to change his game to fit this system
Amare I like off the bench
I have no fckng clue what Bargiani can do, i haven't seen him play in close to a yr

TANK, what a smoke screen..You know how somebody does something completely stupid, then to save face they say they meant do that..Thats whats going Here.

Agree

So if Fish is a complete and utter disaster, what happens?

I don't see any scenario being a good one. Phil can't take over. He's wearing diapers. So do they slide Rambis into the driver's seat?

This is pretty bad now. I agree that even if tanking is now used as a smoke screen it doesn't deal with the way our coaching has almost completely decimated the value of our players for any possible trades.

It also might be the least talented roster ever put together although Layden's character club teams might have been worse talent wise.

Bargs is the gift that keeps on giving. The knicks can't even get a injured player exception because he will be back soon. By soon I mean next season.

Granted, but that's a given. Still doesn't address my question of what to do. Just wondering if Phil will pull the plug. Basically, Phil could be spinning in the toilet next season too, so its not like he is guaranteed to last anymore than Fish is. Phil is whiffing in the strike zone so far.

You mean we gave him a ghost clause extension guaranteeing he will haunt us past this season whether we are paying him or not?

Knicks1969 @ 12/28/2014 4:47 PM
Bargnani and Amare= failing experience. They were both paid nicely and failed to live up to the billing. Their mere presence on The roster is clearly a reminder of past mistakes and will psychologically keep us down. For what it is worth, cut them.

You have to tell your self that this roster is not that talent just to come to grips with our record, but the core of the team (who's that again, i can't tell by the rotations) lets say..Amare, Calderone, Melo, JR, Shump, THJ, Sammy, Priggs, are talented enough to be (at worst) 8th best team in the East.

I always believe that when you taken over a situation, the best way to do it is to take 50% of what they were already doing (the good part), and take 50% of what you want them to, and combine it. This way no ones overwhelmed with learning an entire new system, and consistently making mistakes and missing sht you would normally catch.

99.9% of the people covering the knicks, and the NBA in general have all agreed that the knicks don't have TRIANGLE type players, especially in key positions, SG, C, SF.

Phil jackson will have to fire fish, he has no choice, he's not ready, and whats worse is from what I hear (berman) part of the coaching staff wants to play the young guys, part want to abandon the triangle (not entirely)and big chief triangle wants to stay the course. No one is on the same page from top to bottom, players, coaches, president.

The biggest surprise to me at this point...You have not heard a PEEP from Dolan, I almost want him to do something..How can anyone be optimistic with everything going on here..Nothing at all has been positive

Normally I would totally disregard a Berman rumor but he cited information from a coach in another article. If Berman actually has a source on the caching staff that guy will be gone though. My guess is it would be one of the younger coaches. However, it is Berman and there maybe no source at all.

Amare and jr aren't even playing anymore. Amare needs rest and jr is milking this plantar foot thing. I'm sick of lining at these guys too. If we can't move them to get better I don't want them on the team anymore either

I don't think he pulls the plug. I do think he will move Sam and maybe Shump or Hardaway. Also, I think if there is a deal out there for Prigs or Jose he will make it. But most of the roster is cleared out after this season. JR, Jose, Melo and Tim are the only guys back I believe. JR could get stretched. I think Tim might be moved if Phil can get anything for him. Also, I think Galloway finishes the year on the Knicks.

Plantar usually puts guys out for a long time. Camby had it and basically missed the season. I think it was the same thing with Glen Rice when he was Knick. The Knicks just might want to cast JR's foot so that he can heal.

I doubt Zen Master fires Fisher. '

When you start outright clipping guys, you lose credibility in the coaching community.

Look at the Cleveland Browns. They've gutted their front office 3-4 times in the last 5-6 years. Of course changing ownership is part of the issue, but with so much instability, no coach with choices, no one with real options will pick your franchise.

If you seem like you have a hair trigger and will gut someone on a dime, real fast, due to media scrutiny, then all you will get are guys who are desperate to get any job. Those aren't the best of the best or the cream of the crop in terms of coaching and front office talent out there.

The bigger picture is you don't want to burn bridges with other established owners, refs, coaches, GMs and scouts. The reason a strong pre-established relationships are so critical in a small knit circle like the NBA is that you aren't going to burn out someone you will have to face and deal with in the league for the next 20 years.

What did the guy say in Glengarry Glen Ross, the trick to selling isn't selling one guy one Cadillac, the trick is to sell him five Cadillacs over the course of his lifetime.

I don't have a problem with Fisher, he fits one the base coaching pedigree types in the league ( former point guard, non star, has rings, has playoff experience, has experience dealing with difficult personalities ( Kobe), is black ( for dealing the reality that most NBA players are young black guys) and has former experience with the Players Union) Let him learn in a low expectation environment. This is the least talented or nearly the least talented 15 man roster in the league. Worse than low talent is the pervasive low sports IQ on the roster.

Personally I think Fisher was a true POS as a player. I mean a dirty savage boot heel piece of scum. Esp in his last waning years. He took ever advantage he could having players union leverage and just did everything he could to get an edge when his physical game fell through the floor. Don't get me wrong, he had his big moments and he was clearly a glue guy who played far above his talent level, but the guy was simply filthy dirty as a player. But even with that, he's a young coach and it's going to take a learning curve to see how he works out long term. Talent of course is also such a critical factor in how coaches are perceived in the NBA.

He might not be the right coach, but the Knicks need points of stability right now. Putting two in the back of his head now only create more chaos for the franchise than solve problems.

dude he's posted the worst start in 50 yrs, I don't think I'm going out on a limb here when I say he's not ready, not by any stretch of the imagination.

Low expectations... if the playoffs were the expectations, then what would you call having the worst record in the league. So lets play the young guys so they learn how to lose games, yeah that's a great envioroment.

Love and IRving got valuable minutes in a losing, no defense culture, and now when they have a prime piece to there roster , they still can't shake the losing habits..

That's a injury that people who gain weight or have bad feet get. Camby started to get it once he filled out into his body. Glen Rice had knee issues that contributed to his plantar. Maybe jr smith injury is legit cuz he had secret knee surgery himself.

Still however you want to look at it, I'm tired of talking about the dude. Knicks need to rid the team of these losers

I was thinking of making an offer

No one could refuse

$100.00 Paypal to anyone who thinks Bargnani

Will see the court this year as a Knicks

I agree. The entire coaching staff needs to be relieved of their duties

I honestly though AB was going to be able to contribute this season

I thought he would be a better FIT running the Triangle than STAT
Running the OFFENSE and INITIATING it through him was likely the plan

Of course it was just to get a sense of how to execute the system but looks like he had some major surgery that MSG had been hiding from us
