Did you hear those fools chanting fire Fisher"
What the hll is Derek Fisher going to do--run on the court and play PG for the Knicks--heck we'd have two more wins. Do these people understand that
A. Losing helps us right now? You should be praising the man.
B. We really and I mean really sck--The NY Knicks have the WORST and I mean the WORST roster in the nBA and 2nd place is not close? If Phil Jackson were coaching this team would have 8 wins max.
C. If you cant accept the reality this year--just stay home--eat the tix and bring your wife to a show instead. Going to a NY Knicks game should be considered a masochistic act--if you are into that stuff.
With some of the dumb NYers it's simply fire him fir e her fire their dog. Shut the heck up and go stick your dumb arse in the sand. You can come out when we have pick #1 in June.
I actually agree with them. This team might be a joke, but they should be more competitive. The fact they are being told to not guard the three is a fireable offense.
Fisher does need to go. A real coach and not a puppet should be on the side lines.

If you can't be better than the
Different Starting Lineup In Your Hometown
Next Town Clown Larry Brown as they called him and ran him out
Then maybe just maybe, we might have the wrong people here
Or maybe LB was on to something 10yrs ago

There was a point where LB was just collecting a check. I've always felt that was Phil's goal, but I actually thought Fisher was his own man. Not so sure anymore.

LB wanted the role Phil has or SVG has
Dolan said no, so even in a "sabotage" role
LB managed to win 23gms and he had a trash roster too
He may have truly not been trying to win games, although
I think he was trying to prove a point to his GM and owner
He did say he had to beg players to practice and to give effort
Meanwhile we traded for Calderon because we thought Felton
And Tyson to a greater extent were locker room sabotagers
Yet we won't come close to winning 23gms
You can't make this stuff up

I like the cultural change though. "Win less" "Dont guard the three" "Ignore the system, I wont bench you for it".
Did you guys even see the players we put out there tonight? How could that team possibly win with that talent? Jr smith and thjr were our best scorers. Quincy acy, Josh smith, Coke Alrich Were or best bigs. Come on now.
All the nonsense about fisher and Phil is just drama. The truth is the roster is just not talented enough.
Briggs is right. You guys deserve this team and this situation. You bring up Larry brown. That team he coached had a ton more talent than this current knick team. You complainers deserve all these wacky years.
While I think another coach might have a few more wins, I don't see the point. We weren't going anywhere anyway with this roster.
This is what rebuilding looks like.
Best strategy is ping pong balls.
I would like to see some of our stiffs released: Bargs, Dalembert, maybe Stat.
And then sign some NBDL guys who will actually put out effort.
Heck, our summer league squad would have had more wins by now.
I can't take all this negativity

LB was the coach and Isiah was the GM.
Isiah was empowered by his owner to leverage up the roster by using financial means.
The Owner signs the checks, not the GM.
Larry was correct in rejecting his roster and seeking power to make the changes. He was the coach. He expected to have in put on the roster and influence. Why hire a guy if you don't?
Fish was bought in to coach the triangle and a roster that will be changing.
This team is awful but its a means to a new era, not the continuation of an old.
You can't make this stuff up but spin it as you wish to connect the dots. This team is awful. Even worse than any preseason rating would predict.
Doom and gloom. Some might see this not as disaster but as an opportunity.

Me either. We are terrible but we do have alot going for us so I don't understand the reason to go so hard this year. We've had worse situations
some fans thrive on negativity!!!!
It empowers them.
There's a difference in being cautiously pessimistic versus being flat out stupid/brain dead. Wanting to fire and blame Fisher for this is stupid/brain dead not negative/pessimist
And yes they deserve this mess and whatever reactionary shortsighted moves transpire from this season.
They deserve to see OK4 flourish on a rival like Noah and aldridge have
You think Fisher, at the end of his playing career, was going to say no to $25M? I mean so many say the thing about Melo, I assume they'd say the same about Fish.
Just like the Knicks were stupid to give Melo his massive, no-trade contract, Phil (and Dolan) were also stupid to give a five year deal to a guy who had never coached before. I don't know the terms of Kidd's deal with the Nets, but it wasn't an albatross like Fisher's deal.
So what was that deal all about?
Phil.
It all points back to Phil.
Phil wanted his own group of buddies. Whether they were the best choices or not. Just loyalists. Just like Dolan.
It is a microcosm of Dolanism.
That's why the Fisher situation is a mess. Not only has he never coached a 4th grade basketball game, but he's in Phil's pocket.
How can anyone slobber over Phil with the way he has proceeded? Only the usual holdout suckers are mooning over Phil's zen BS. It's just another joke in a long line of Knicks jokes.

Too Many Haterz!!!

Too Many Haterz!!!
It was painful how Al Hartwig went out of his way not to mention what the fans were chanting on the air.

Your response is garbage.
What I spelled out is plain as day for anyone with a lick of sense.
Go ahead and tell me how I'm wrong.
Debunk my premise. Tell me how:
1) Phil didn't surround himself with his buddies
2) Phil got the best candidate for the coaching position available
3) Phil gave $25M and 5 years to a guy who never coached before
4) How that $25M doesn't make Fish indebted to Phil first and foremost
5) How this form of loyalist cronyism is not the way Dolan has operated in the past.
Go ahead and enlighten us garbage collector
