we gave away two players who had no value and gained cap room so it wasnt bad
We took back those 3 players? Are they all expiring contracts or did we take back salary next year?
It's a C trade. Years past trades usually graded out an F.
I do know one thing though. OKC metrics guys suck and the Cavs pulled off a great deal.
It's a minor trade, but it's still great to get out of JR Smith's contract.
It's just odd that Clevland ships out the worse player and receive 2 better payers and a 1st. Their GM did a great job.

As I said he's the best player in the trade[now]
But redundant to Quincy Acy

Awful trade for OkC.
Awful for OKC? You think?....They didnt lose anything. Waiters can be a big time shooter off the bench...maybe walk right in and hold down the two spot if Westbrook gets hurt again.
Waiters just needs to realize (quick) that he is not an Alpha dog and play within the role he is given...
Strange trade for OKC--they must be ready to moving Lamb. He hasn't been playing and Im sure hes got league interest somewhere.

We have been awful since the 90's, about time the media catches on.

If they do I bet they get that protected 1st far out to 2018 back
Phil got back 1 2nd rounder he gave up in the Outlaw deal
So he can make sure he overpays this summer

I wonder if we can dump Calderon on them if we include THJ. For Lamb and another pick
One thing I do like is that there is no weekly build up and trades just come out of nowhere.
I hope we waive that Bum Lou and keep Kirk and Thomas and simply waive or find a trade for stiff and daly

We waived Dalembert already
all in all this a great trade. we get rid of jr, shumpert sucked and was never going to back anything, get a draft pick, gain some cap space and get trade exceptions. and we gave up nothing. works for me.
We're in full tank mode, which is sad
Melo fighting the team's urge to tank
I wonder if Phil is saying to him
Hey might as well complete this losers mentality to the very end
Be kind to yourself and get off your feet, rest them

Not bad at all. I am really happy for him
whats with the shumpert boner still? dude is always injured and never improved. why are you "happy" for him? what did he do here that was so great?
If we trade Melo somehow before the deadline than I will have the biggest boner

I do agree with you there, Briggs.
Its a move that, IMO, they don't need to make but maybe feel they need to do SOMETHING because the season is not going like expected.
At the end...They could come out the winners in this trade.
As an NBA fan, I think its pretty exciting that the two teams many predicted to meet in the Finals made such a big trade. I don't think we will be able to fully rate this until the playoffs.

thats good. I can sense that we will do some 10 day contracts and mini trades because we simply can't just role with Stiff and C train at Center
