Not bad at all. I am really happy for him

No this deal is awful, it means we're to grossly
Overpay someone next year and I mean way overpay
Look we needed a pick we could use right away, It's real simple we're rebuilding
There are no free agents that will put us over the top next year
Probably not even a top 8 team
A 2019 pick 2nd rounder is about as irrelevant as it gets
Why are we counting Dolan's pennies now
We used to threaten to match contracts up to a billion dollars
AND IT'S NOT YOUR OUR MONEY
What kind of warped ass logic are you using? PLEASE GTFOH!!! PLEASE! You have no credibility anymore at this point. You can't bitch about a team and then when we clean house and clear even more cap space trash the deal. Make up your damn mind!!!
Why so disrespectful with your language, keep this in mind coming this summer and the rest of this year
My main point is to get a pick much sooner I had my cutoff well before details were mentioned
We need a pick before 2017 END OF STORY
Preferably a 1st if not a couple 2nd rounders

Well, yeah. The Tyson trade is still a really bad trade but this is one is actually good. We're dumping JR's salary and getting back a real asset all for the price of Shumpert.
Yeah, if these reports are true, then Phil followed up several gutters with a strike here.
That's what I am seeing. You dump Jr by giving up a guy you weren't resigning. That's a good thing
I thought we were getting the 1st round pick when I typed this. I'll still call it a spare though.

whats with the shumpert boner still? dude is always injured and never improved. why are you "happy" for him? what did he do here that was so great?
Classy thing for Wojo to cop to

So let the space roll over to the year after and/or go after multiple pieces. That's what should happen, if it does? I cannot say.
But even if we don't get a first there is no way this deal can be interpreted as bad even if you compare it to some hypothetical Clippers deal from the year before. We don't know and cannot know how close anything came to being done and regardless, the past is the past. Only the future matters. If we missed on trading Shump last year that's irrelelvant to me because more importantly we clear out future salary and a guy I can't stand in JR Smith.
Now you can say that because Phil has only made bad moves so far future cap space is no big deal cause he's just going to fuhuck it all up and make more bad moves. Fine. But there is a chance, not sure what it is numbers wise, but there is a chance with cap space Phil will sign some good players and some semblance of a team will be put forward. As a knicks fan all I can do is HOPE that that happens. What's the point of just assuming doomsday is coming? That's just grating. I can be pessimistic on Phils gm'ing skills so far and still hope the guy gets it together. That's all I'm saying. That's LITERALLY all I can hope for as a knicks fan.
Also, we now have 3 roster spots for prospects and this will ensure more losing to further the tank effort. Always a good thing.
Anyone watched Lance Thomas
Great trade for the cavs.
Decent trad for the knicks
Awful trade for OkC.
So what is the official deal. Who are we getting back besides the 2019 second rounder and cap space?

So did J.R.
JR will have good company in the Cleveland nightclubs with Johnny Manziel and Josh Gordon.
I'm glad to see that immature bum GONE.

i kinda agree. I used to be a big shump fan but injuries and his lack of offense really hurt his value

Undrafted hustle player. Warm body

The Cleveland Cavaliers have reached an agreement in principle to acquire New York Knicks guards J.R. Smith and Iman Shumpert in a multi-team trade that also sends guard Dion Waiters to the Oklahoma City Thunder, league sources told Yahoo Sports.Oklahoma City will give the Cavaliers a protected future first-round draft pick and send guard Lance Thomas to the Knicks, league sources said. As part of the trade, the Cavaliers will send rookie center Alex Kirk, forward Lou Amundson and a 2019 second-round pick to the Knicks, sources said.
For New York, the deal is a salary dump to clear cap space. The Knicks unload the $6.4 million owed to Smith next season.
A trade call with the league is expected to take place later Monday night after the Cavaliers', Knicks' and Thunder's games, sources said.
The Knicks also will waive center Samuel Dalembert, a league source said. His contract would've become fully guaranteed for the season if he remained on the roster through Wednesday.
Can Alex Kirk be anything redeemable, this trade just isn't good

1st round pick for Waiters....dumbass move, and okc have a lot of talented gaurds which makes it even more stupid.
I guess Cleveland wants Shump for D. Problem is he doesn't play it anymore
he has been a real disappointment of late. definitely time to move on.
Good deal. I am intrigued by the guys coming back maybe there is something there?

OKC gave up a 2018 protected 1st to get Waiters
Please tell me how this is awful for them
Alex Kirk, Lou Amundson, Lance Thomas & 2019 2nd rounder

It really is. That's a home run. I hated Shump. He will be like the 9th guy on the Spurs, have two good weeks and guns will scream from the mountain tops we traded the best two player since Ewing. See ya JR. Getting the season woody got from him 2 years ago was his biggest accomplishment
Hate is a strong word. You sure? This is what you said 2months ago...

Readcwhat I wrote. Both players suck. Shumpert sucked less. We should have traded him to okc years ago. I'm sorry your boy got traded. Hey I loved Mosgov. Life goes on. Shumpert had some nice moments but what sticks out the most are all the games he scored zero points and the extended visits on the DL. Thanks but no thanks
Got it Fish. Your definition of hatred is different than mine
Get over yourself dude
No you get over yourself.
No YOU get over YOURSELF. seriously dude... I'm close to all caps. I'm talking the whole sentence. You do NOT want to go there.
Chill out Fish, how many people are you going to have a go at today?
Is this kid the new hall monitor around here?
Alex Kirk looks like Big Country Reeves.
