That's a little more respectable, he was the best player from the trade
Who is this guy? What is the best element in his game? Is he a slasher??

Maybe his contract was not fully guaranteed? idk.

He cleared waivers. It is a 10 day. But with the guys out there it seems like a Curry, Green or Wolters might be a better choice.

Any particular reason for cutting him then signing him to a 10-day deal instead? Don't think I've ever seen that...To save money I bet. How much? Kind of a slap in the face to this poor guy if that's the case, no? Did we cost this guy any money? If so, dick move by Phil. I wouldn't have signed back with the Knicks.
Typical Knicks too btw -- they always gravitate toward obscure talent in terms of who's available. They never go for the best available. Always load up the Summer squad with bottom feeders, etc...Quincy Miller's not worth signing, Phil? JaMychal Green? Come on...

Agree. If they sign Amundson that will suck.

It's to save Dolan's money because it's not our money

I don't get it at all. Sorry Phil--you might think scouring the DL/Europe looking for talent is beneath you but we are where we are. Right now it's tank, get ready for the draft and FA and oh yeah, maybe try to uncover a diamond in the rough here along the way among the available low-salary guys. I mean if anyone needs to hit the jackpot in this category, it's us. You just get the feeling that they don't take this phase of the rebuilding process serious at all. It annoys me.

I was refering to his initial contract he came in with from the trade. Maybe it was similar to Jeff Adrien or Dalembert where it was only partially guaranteed for the year. I guess by cutting him and having him clear waivers it keeps the knicks flexible financially.

Did it cost the dude money? That's what I wanna know. If so--they did him dirty. They've got balls even going back to him with a 10-day offer...I dunno---maybe I don't have it right. Even so, better players available anyway. I'd much rather take a good look at JaMychal Green for 10 days. Heck, I would've signed Green for the rest of the year and would've done it days ago..

Phil isn't like that. This is a guy that toiled in the CBA driving his team to games. He's got an ego, but he's also very much into the use of the DLeague for this team. I suspect he may just differ with some of us on the players he's interested in. Still we have to give him time to get things done. It's not over by a long shot.
Knicks must have other deals in place--so they opted for flexibility

Yeah... it's a business. 10 day contracts are more flexible. They get a trial run. So cares if these guys lost money. They don't seem to care since they resigned.
I got a feeling the guys that started the last game against Houston are all going to be gone. And so well Amare and Bargs
This seems like a terrible move.. Why not curry or green ? Someone tweet this to Phil's twitter and ask why not curry or green?
Let's chant the names that we want at the games, cause I would love to see Seth curry and jamykle green.. Let's let Phil know

I agree. I think there is a short window with those guys now that teams can use 10 day contracts. Those two and Quincy Miller seem like sure things.
Are these moves true? still no real news of it happening and I don't trust real gm
Ny post just posted it ... Well it's only a 10 day
